Makes alot more sense now that I know he said "us" heh.

And was I the only one who was a little surprised to find out that Hurley is part? hispanic or full or whatever? That came as an unexpected thing.

Nope, Reyes is a Hispanic name. It means "kings" in Spanish, according to babelfish.altavista.com

Just watched "Numbers" on tape. Very awesome episode -- lotsa twists and fun turns.

I especially enjoyed the scene between Claire and Locke, where Locke presents Claire with the baby cradle. Very nice moment there. ;)

As far as Hurley goes, it's really nice to have some kind of a back story on him now. Although I just wonder how he got into the mental hospital in the first place, because as he said, he and Leonard were friends... and Hurley was in the hospital before.

Nonetheless, the whole numbers thing was just too cool. I wanted to kill Charlie and Sayid (his stubbornness just made me, like... urgh), and I wanted to hug Danielle also. When Hurley told Sayid, "She says hey," that was just so cool.

Great episode.

What was up with Charlie? I mean, honestly, he was all, "ROARGRRSANTADOESN'TEXISTGRARR" throughout the episode. The episode's writer must not like the immense Charlie Love.

And I suspect Hurley was a patient at the mental hospital- he was rather short with Charlie upon being called crazy. "I AM NOT CRAZY, PLZKTHNXDI. *Curses Charlie with the OMGEEKBADNUMBERS CURSE*"

'Twas an excellent episode, though. Probably my favourite, though it barely forwarded the island plot, and was heavy on the flashbacks. Not that that's a bad thing- I love this series' flashbacks, and Hurley's were great.

That scene multiplied my Locke love by a gazillion points.

And added to my fear of Locke being the character who's killed. Waaah. Don't wanna have a dead Locke.

Oh, and who besides me squealed and screamed "OMGLOCKE" when that "Your net worth is A GAZILLION DOLLARS. YAAAY." dude mentioned Hurley having lots of stocks invested into a box company? 'Cause, y'know, Locke worked for a box company... Yeah, okay, I'm obsessed. That's a good thing, right?

I don't think he was a patient. I was thinking that maybe he worked at the hospital at one time. Like as a volunteer or something. I hope they do another episode on him so we can find out. Other people have had two eppys to themselves, why not him.?

And I think Hurley got upset with Charlie for calling him crazy because just about every other person that Hurley told about the numbers and "the curse", they basically told him he was crazy for thinking that. His mom, that stock broker dude, that one guy's wife in Australia. Sure, they didn't come right out and say it, but they kinda implied that they thought he was crazy for thinking the numbers were cursed. So being called crazy (directly or indirectly) by so many people he may have trusted, maybe it just built up until he couldn't take it anymore and that's why he got mad at Charlie.

*sighs* I don't really care. I still love Hurley <3 <3 <3 <3

Oh, well... I didn't know that :P lol

And I got the impression that he might've worked in the hospital and like ^ said... he was just getting angry b/c ppl just didn't believe him about those numbers and such and was getting tired of being called crazy.

I grew up in a city with a very large Mexican population. ^^ Tis the only reason I recognized the name as Hispanic.

It's been suggested that he was a volunteer for the hospital. *nod* I think that theory is very likely.

Although there was that point in one of the flashbacks, where Hurley was being interviewed by all those reporters after winning, where he said he recently put his family through alot. I wonder what he meant. They better not leave me hanging, wondering for the rest of my life what he meant.

That was great when the guy fell off the building XD

Yup...even though it was kinda tragic, I couldn't help but laugh at that part.

There were three points I "inappropriately" laughed at during the show.

1. When Hurley is talking about his brothers wife leaving his brother for a waitress

2. The guy falling

3. Right before Hurley meets the french woman and he trips and his feet go flying.

I'm gonna go a little sorta off topic now. I think I've posted more on this single episode than I have on any other thread/topic on the forums. Just shows how much I loved it :)

EDIT: I just realized something. When (or IF) they get off the island, and Walt goes to collect all that money that he's won from Hurley so far...Hurley can actually give him the money

:roflol: That is so true and so funny!

It's so sad that Charlie didn't believe him at the end. 125 million dollars...wow that is a lot!

About the part about when (or IF) they get off the island, i wonder how they are going to get off or if everyone is just going to die. I wonder how long they can keep this show going before we know everything about every character. At least we know there is going to be a season two because the season one of lost is coming out on dvd in november! (starts countdown)

I expect that if Hurley ever gets home, he'll find that without him his money will had ballooned in size XD

I was thinking that it will be like Gilligans Island (the original series, not the reality series now), where they'll never get off the island, but then years later there will be a TV movie filled with false hope of them getting off, but they don't.

There's another thing that has been bothering me about the show in general. Hygiene. I noticed the french woman's teeth...they are all really white. She's been there for 16 years at least. Now her being stranded with a toothbrush and toothpaste in the begining isn't all that unlikely. But both of those things couldn't have lasted this long. And second...everyone's hair. I'm gonna bet there was no one on the plain that packed a full suitcase of shampoo. But you notice even after being there for what..40 days now? Everyone's hair still looks perfect (those that have it), especially the girls. Their hair looks just washed....with salt water and no shampoo. Hmmm......

Just one of the things that's been bothering me.

That's assuming he isn't declared dead and his money hasn't gone to someone else, like his closest relative or something.

I agree, it bugs me too when I notice it, but for the most part I try not to let it catch my attention. If I dwell on it it'll ruin the show for me. lol

The only time I reallllly notice it is when Sun's on camera. Her hair and skin ALWAYS look like she just stepped out of the makeup trailer.

Remember, its the Lost island. Theres probably shampoo in the rain.

Sun Mar 06, 2005 12:01 am

lol, I wouldn't worry about much either if I saw some sand, or even a leaf in someone's hair. But no...everything is perfect. blah! :P
