I'm a huge sports fan, just can never find the time or place to be able to watch them. Player of soccer; and fan of football and basketball as well. I keep telling myself wait til the next season rolls around, but by that time I forget.

So, I come to you all, my trusty PPT buddies. What is the best way to keep track of the games for the sports I like? I have no TiVo, so that isn't an option. I need your help to get 'in the groove' so to speak, I need a way to get to know the players, teams, and times that they'll be on.

Any ideas?

I use both online sites and television as reference.

Online: Yahoo.com's sports section (http://sports.yahoo.com/) It provides good, brief summaries of what's going on in sports. I like the opinion and analysis pages, as it goes more in-depth.

I sometimes use espn.com, but usually for more up-to-date information (Yahoo sometimes lags behind when it comes to coming out with news).

Television: I watch a lot of sports events on television, pretty much anything that could be considered a "major" sport as well as ESPN and ESPN2.

Programs I try to catch on ESPN/ESPN2: Sportscenter, the "special coverage program of a certain sport" (NFL Primetime, NHL 2Night, NBA Matchup, etc.), Around the Horn (features sportswriters around the country discussing various issues/events/players in sports)

depends on the sport.

I am a big soccer fan, and use http://www.skysports.com. It covers alot of sports, but english soccer, very comprehensively.

Just watch the highlight reels on ESPN the next day. If you are as big as you say I recommend TIVO or Comcast DVR.
