Brother Bear was awesome. I love that movie.

I saw Brother Bear, and I thought it was ok...in the middle-ish. 'Course it wasn't aimed at me. My 7-year-old sister loved it, and that's who they're targetting *shrug*


And Bugs Life wasn't -that- bad O.o Granted, it didn't float my boat, but I know many people who loved it.

I loved Brother Bear and I may have cried during it.

Hooray for Pixar!

You see, this is where I hate human nature. If we all can forget our differences and desires for money and such, then we could be provided with some awesome A+ films from Disney and Pixar. However, because people have the tendency to not get along and dispute over stupid, human things, we don't get our good movies.

Why is everyone being so human? I hate it.

In my opinion, disney movies started going down hill when they stopped making them musicals. After that, aside from the pixar movies which were awesome, the good ones were few and far between. So it sucks for disney, but is great for pixar. I'm very interested to see their first non disney project. That does make me sad about the sequeals though. I've always said that non-pixar disney sequals are generally straight to video garbadge.

Hear hear! When I was little, I used to love Disney movies because of the songs. And hey, they must have been doing SOMETHING right if they could get my 30+ year-old Latin teacher and 5 other seniors up at the front of the room singing and dancing along with Hercules...Even if the movie in and of itself was pretty stupid...

It seems like the only good movies that Disney has anything to do with are the ones that are just 'presented' by Disney. All their actually work lately has been crud.

True. Mermaid, Aladdin and B&tB were the last of Disnay's great films. After that, everything good has been outsourced. Toy Story - genius. Bug's Life & Monsters were alright. Nemo was great, and the Incredibles was just that: In-freaking-credible!

Any attempt to re-create a sequel will take YEARS on Disney's part. Unless it's done via standard animation. Either way, it won't matter. Pixar has enough clout to stand on it's own. When I saw the Incredibles, I didn't say I was going to see a Disnay movie. I was going to see a PIXAR film. And that makes all the difference.

I agree. I watched it again this evening for the first time in a year or two, and I had forgotten how many laugh-out-loud funny moments there are and how cool the animation is.

I laugh like an idiot at that movie.

I think disney needs some new blood, time for a change. I am glad Pixar is going out on it own now they will be able to do more adult films along the lines of Shrek. with no limits on what they can create who knows what will come out of that studio
