The movie was okay, but I thought the first one was better. People were screaming when they just showed Samara. She could have been sitting there and everyone kept screaming.

Teenagers for ya.
Yes, I know not all teens do that (I didn't and no one I knew did)... but yeah... for some reason it always seems to be teenage girls who think they have to scream whenever something "scary happens"

Anyway.... the more I think about it... the more I realize that I didn't enjoy the movie at all.
All it was was the mom crying and shaking her son asking him what's wrong... and the kid playing the son doing some really bad acting.
The whole thing was just cheesy.

It was alright. As for scare factor, a little creepy here and there. but nothing shocking to me. All in all it was pretty good. More startling than anything

SPOILER

The best line in the movie. Jeez, the best i've heard in a movie in a while.

I'm not your F***ing mommie.

Hmm...not sure if I shall see this film, I might just stick the original Japanese films, I prefer those. :)

They're on C4 soon aren't they?

I haven't seen them, but hopefully they'll scare me a little because The Ring had be practically weeing my pants laughing at some points.

I've never seen a horror movie with plot. It was good, funny at points where it should not of been, but still very good.

I've never seen a theatre of teenagers clapping at the end of the movie, but they did.

Ya it was good, it just wasn't scary. At all, infact I laughed. Far to much laughing, and since it was supposed to be scary Im inclined to say it sucked. But I still liked it.

I saw it yesterday, and I thought it was rather stupid. I won't get into all of the stupid parts here because I don't want to spoil it, but there were a ton of unrealistic elements. I came out of the theater feeling as though I had wasted my money. I should've known better than to have seen it, because the first Ring was pushing it. This one was just worse. It wasn't scary at all, either. I'm still looking for a good scary movie. So far, the scariest I've ever seen has probably been The Shining.

I saw it, not by choice believe me. I thought that the first one was okay, not as good though as everyone else seemed to think. The second one is obviously worse, but not AS bad as i thought it was. It wasn't scary at all, which is saying a lot for me becasue I jump easy. The beginning was horrible though, like really really bad, but it did get better later on. I'd recommend seeing it, but I still hope they don't make a third.

Question: My friend said at the end there was like something moving across the reflection in the tv. Water?? I donno, I missed it, anyone else catch what she's talking about?

I wanna see the Japanese original, but I'm too scared. Has anyone actually seen it?

So it was good in the end! Not as scary as the first I thought, but it was good. I went the second day it came out and the theater was surprisingly empty? lol weird!

I've seen Ringu, the original, it was different from the ring, explains more I think. My boyfriend is reading the original book that started it all, and he says it's wayyyyyy different from any of the movies.
