I do it because it brings us closer together as friends, and because of the NP. I've only gotten a couple, but I think I'm getting better at it.

And most of all, it's fun! :D

That's usually true for the Lenny C, but not MP. I've gotten the prize when I entered on day two or even three before. And the NP payout is almost always 2-4K no matter when you enter.

I must say that the more I practice the less I suck (too bad I sucked pretty bad to start with) and you need to train your eye AND get to know neopets well to be great at MP. You ahve to be pretty knowledgeable to get the hints.

Stampy's Law says: The hint is ALWAYS too easy AFTER you've got the answer.

Agreed. Some people who say "OMG the hint was so obvious! It is good enough!" only do so after they find out the answer - and through other means rather than that hint. Also, some hints can only be fully understood after you solve the MP, which defeats the purpose, since you want to make a hint which people can understand and benefit from before they know anything about the solution.

On another note, if the hint leads to only a few choices or tells explicitly what the MP looks like, then it's too easy for anyone. ;)
