#1 Post by .:Compact Disk:. »

I Just thought I'd post this topic here to say. How great was it? I miss it. And ask you to remember with me! What was your fave episode? Who was your fave Character. Wasn't it soooooo much better than The Simpsons?
Don't get me wrong I love the Simpsons but it didn't have the same energy and spark as Futerama did...
I think I'm gunna cry It I don't stop typing now so... Post!

While I like Futurama, for me it's nowhere near the Simpsons. Which still makes it good, as the Simpsons are an awesome power.

So no, it wasn't soooo much better than the Simpsons. While it still had satire and subtle-but-then-not-so digs at things in society, it didn't pull it off with the same degree.

Without comparing it to the Simpsons, I though it was good and I enjoyed it. It had its moments.

I used to be completely obsessed with Futurama when I was 8 x) I even went as Leela for halloween once...

Nothing beats The Simpsons, though...

I like and always will like Futurama. It's hard to make another successful cartoon show after a phenomenon like The Simpsons. I applaud Matt Groening and many others for making it possible.

I enjoy the Simpsons alot more than I did Futurama, but that's not saying I didn't like Futurama.
I loved watching it for the short time it was on. It did seem to have more depth to it than the Simpsons with more serious stories taking place and touching moments that turned me into a big blubbering baby.

I have a couple of fav episodes.... I don't know the names so I'll just explain what happened in them.

As I've said in the many other Futurama threads before this one....
I Looooove the one where Leela and Fry get stung by that big bug. The whole thing was good, but the end when we see Fry sitting by her bed just pleading to her to wake up... :( OMG that was just so so.. *sniffles*

I also liked the one.. I think it's when Fry gets those parasites in him that make him smart? Or something like that.. and so him and Leela have a small little thing going on.. and then he turns stupid again but at the end he still tries to play that instrument and it makes a picture of Leela's head.

Also loved the one where Fry got mad at his brother b/c he thought his brother stole his however many leaf lucky clover and stole his identity.
So he wants to go and dig up his "brother's" grave to get it back but we eventually see what really happens and MAN... just thinking about what happens in that episode is seriously about to make me cry.
It's just so bitter sweet...

I'm sure I would have more to add to that list but I didn't see all of them.
I'm reading about some of them.. like this Jurassic Bark one.. omg.. just reading about the episode and what happens is making me cry! lol
I feel like such a dork :P

I have yet to see a full episode of The Simpsons. My mum thinks that the show is horrible and should be banned from television. Yeah. She wouldn't even let me watch Nickelodeon cartoons until I was 12. ._.

I used to watch Futurama. I also liked the Lucky 4-Leaf Clover one. But you wouldn't get me to watch an episode more than twice without being bored out of my mind the third time around. With the simpsons though, its like I've seen episodes a billion times and I'll still watch them, and I'll still laugh.

I love futurama! I'm not going to compare it with the simpsons because they're so different and both so great. I really love futurama though. I love the story, the characters, the humor. I can watch futurama over and over (and I do) and still laugh. It's a shame it was cancelled. I really want more. More I say!

Oh my gosh, that was on I think two or three weeks ago on Adult Swim. I love that episode, it's one of my favorites. The ending is just soooo cute, it makes me a little sad. :(

I love Futurama, I watch it any time it's on Adult Swim, but I wish it were still on FOX. Good show, wasn't as good as the Simpsons, but very few shows in my opinion are. (Big Simpson fanatic here.) My favorite character is probably Bender. He's just so sarcastic to everyone, all the time. I usually like the most annoying characters.

Futurama is definitely my favorite show!

I have seasons 1 and 4 on DVD...hopefully 2 and 3 will be birthday or Christmas presents by the end of the year.

Leela is my favorite character...I like her independence and tough attitude.

My favorite episode is by far "A Head in the Polls," I'm a Political Science major, so all of the political jokes are right up my alley. The episode where they end up on the planet where all the Start Trek stuff has been banned to is funny too.

I've only ever watched one episode of The Simpsons (which was pretty good), but I've seen almost every episode of Futurama. I like it because it's such a clever and smart show. I guess the fact that I'm a sci-fi nut, so I get all of the jokes helps too :) .

I like the Simpsons more. I have a lot of respect for the people that keep coming up with new story lines all the time, even though ideas are lacking. Futurama just was not as sucessful, it was never as popular as the Simpsons. the Simpsons is an original, and nothing can compare to it, Futurama is sorta a rip off, and it didnt work out that well. But i did watch it sometimes, it was good, but it jsut wasnt great.

I love futurama, favourites being the planet of the balls, and the 4-leaf clover one.
