Frozen...for five minutes...

#1 Post by Johnnydontgo »

So I was downloading music, hadn't touched my neopets screen in at least an hour, and went to go check my stocks... and I was stopped by the infamous police chia. It said I had posted innapropriate content on the neoboards. So I freak out, as can be expected, and fill out the tedious form they give you. I finish it up, Check my Neopets Premium Portal, click on a game link, and I'm back in my account. I even logged out and logged back in... WHAT'S GOING ON?! Anyone else seeing wierd stuff?!

Me too... but they couldn't possibly have had time to even glance at my form... there was all of ten seconds in between the time I sent it off and the time I was back in my account...

Were you on a networked computer or anything? I know I sometimes get other people's screens when playing on a network, usually refreshing gets me back where I'm supposed to be though.

With the other topics about various glitches and the weirdness happening with lookups, shops, etc. (backgrounds, banners being not allowed?), I think the site's simply lost it's mind temporarily (we can only hope).

No one could get "thawed" that fast, unless I guess you're Adam or staff - but then I think they do silly things like freeze each other, don't they? :P

As long as everything's ok, all your pets, np, items, etc. are where they should be, you should be alright. Fingers and toes crossed!

I had that happen once too, I think they froze you on accident and then got rid of it.

Yeah, everything's where it should be, np, items, pets... so I'm just hoping it was a mistake. I'm not on a networked computer, it was definitely my account frozen, but since everything is kosher in my account, I'm not too worried about it, now that I'm thawed!

Well since you're paying for portal, they probably pay more attention to you so as not to lose any money. Maybe i should do that.

No kidding.. However, I really don't think it has anything to do with being Premium. Like I said, they didn't even have the time to look at my form before I was back on. Who knows. I'm just chalking it up to yet another freaky glitch.

It is utterly IMPOSSIBLE for the php/phtml script to deliver unexpected content. Apache.org/PHP.net wold have noticed and put a stop to it. It's most probably a problem on your side of the line. Maybe the database faltered and they had to revert to one 30 minutes ago (in which case, congratulations), but it's highly unlikely.

But I wasn't. I'm on my home computer, which no one else uses, and I don't play Neopets on public computers. For this very reason. Who knows, I probably never will.
