lothwe, never forget that the guild boards are monitored, as are the neoboards and neomail. I know, I got a warning and all my posts cleared in my guild for typing the word ebay

This whole thing is a mess! Someone at TNT really DID mess up if that's not supposed to just be a clickable avi, but something you have to spend (How Much?!!) on.

Whether people get warned/suspended/frozen is of course up to TNT. What's that phrase ... noblesse oblige? something like that. And they have been on a freezing frenzy lately, so anything's possible. Personally, I don't think anyone should be frozen over this. It's an avatar for goodness sake! OK, so remove it from peoples' list, give a warning for anyone who posts the link ... and if they continue to, then maybe a short (like 1 day) suspension. But freezing? Geez, that's just too extreme.

That would be a good way to solve this "problem." I'd be sad, cuz it really is a pretty avatar, but I could live with it.

Honestly, people, do you REALLY think that TNT will freeze for clicking a link that most active neopians have come across?? NONONONONO

Bad business strategy.
Bad morals.
Bad coding on their behalf.

If they actually HAVE been freezing, they would probably already have:

FIXED THE BUG :: easy coding

..or..

DISABLED THE PAGE :: easier

rumors these days...

My guild leader found the link on premium board.She clicked on it,posted it on the guild board,then found out about the dramas and now she's freaking out.

Someone posted the link and I went to it knowing no'othing.

Then I told people too. It spread all over!! I think people started the rumour cause they were annoyed that people got it for free when they spent a load of points.

Unfortunately we'll just have to wait until tom to see what happens.

Personally I think too many people have clicked to freeze them all!

Aw crud. Of course, I clicked the link (which was given out on the Av board) thinking it was a clickable avatar. It's not until hours later that I read this post that I find out it wasn't supposed to be clickable :cry:

I'm in the same boat as all of ya

Hmmm...I think I will buy premium...as insurance

You're NOT immune to freezing even if you're a premium user but there was once I saw someone who gloated on the board about getting her ac unfrozen as soon as she complained to the support staff.

I was on the site a little while ago, people are still posting about this, alot of worried folks -- that they're going to be frozen for clicking the link.

I don't know where the whole thing started, as in who found the link first, how it got around, etc.

OT - Premium does NOT = not getting frozen/getting unfrozen in a day. I only know of one time someone was de-iced in one day and it was a mistake (and that board was much slower than it is now).

Back to topic. For me, I don't know know whether it is a glitch, error, considered cheating (which wouldn't surprise me as this is something you're supposed to pay for) or what, but I'm not clicking any link. Just to be on the safe side. I've put way too much time and energy into my account and pets to lose it over an avatar.

And TNT has been known to freeze people for glitches, so saying everything's ok if it was a glitch doesn't work for me.

I dont see what punishment there could be other than removing the avie...its not abusing a glitch its an innocent mistake and there is no benefit out of it ie getting nps

Everyone gets an avie,no more no less.Freezing people just because an avie,bad move.The most they should do is remove the avie from the list.

I'm waiting for Neopets to go on freezing rampage.Many accounts will get iced for "clicking on a link to get an avie" :roll:
