IDB and NNN both have official back-up boards, and IDB have already put them to use once.

PPT should have a back-up board that everyone can use when it goes down, if only to keep the community going and keep everyone together.

That's a great suggestion. Myself and Rune were aslo discussing it during the down time because it was somewhat frusturating not being able to let everyone know what was happening. We'll start working on getting one up.

That would be the best thing about it though - knowing what's wrong and how much longer it'd take to fix it. Being in the dark about it was one heck of an ordeal

Ah yes. A classic piece of fine literature. Rush Limbaugh is indeed a big, fat idiot.

Anyhoo, there are plenty of boards that are run by people here such as the Runanites board or borovan.com. Do we want to help those guys out by making them our temps? They can rotate and take the position in alternating turns for every time PPT hits a speed bump.

This is a good idea. I would have normally just went to my own forum, but that went down as well soon after PPT did, with the same message. Lol.

I also argee that PPT needs a back-up forum.

During the time PPT was down I got bored so I joined FFD, Neocolours, Runanites (The best site besides PPT) and hanged around IDB just so I could keep in touch my fellow PPTers.

I would've joined IDB, but it seems to spit out my registration request whenever I make it =/

Meh, I never realised how hard it is to maintain a forum though. I just made one and not even my mods (which are the most trustable people I have) are following the rules PPT just seems to... work.

Yeah, I think this is a good idea. That way the games and contests can continue too, and people will not be left hanging in limbo.
