So how did this happen? Did you neomail them the offer? Or did you just plain bid on it in the TP? I'm confused at how they could even think you were actually in their account.

It sounds like they spend too much time at the neoboards.

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

I'm just trying to imagine how someone could be confused and think you were in their account (I'm trying to give them some benefit of the doubt). I mean the text that pops up at the top of the page could be kinda confusing if you haven't seen it before.

But on the other hand, they had two morphing potions up for trade. New Member don't usually have those, unless they also got their hands on an AB...

Regardless, there are two senarios here: the person isn't very bright and was genuinely concerned for their account, or they were just trying to cause trouble and possibly create grounds upon which you could be frozen.

Yeah, i have had that happen too. People LOVE to yell at other people on neopets because they're so self-righteous. They see accounts like Hrobi's and Featheralley's and how defensive they are and they get the same way because they think their account is the best in the world - when you could care less about it and you're just trying to have a conversation.

*sigh* That makes me sick. However as someone once said (I forgot who, sorry) :

Quote:
People are stupid by nature. It's people that go against their nature that become smart.

I beleive that sums it up.

(S)he was probably baiting (Trying to start a flame war). Just ignore them, block them if they consistently waffle on.

I hate running into those kinds of people. You just can't help but want to set them straight even though you know for a fact they'll never wise up because they're too stupid, stubborn, or they're ego is so big they'd rather look like a complete idiot than admit they're wrong.

Oh yah, some people are plain rude. If they want u to lower the price, they be very nice to u. Other than that, they are back to their true color.

However, I must said they are lots of nice people around too. It is just that 1 rude fellow is enough to spoilt your day.

How old was his/her account? It sounds like a either a new player or someone who isn't bright enough to even play the game. And there are lot of those people running around Neopia.

Case in point: I had someone, who had been playing several months, write me to say that the purple negg in my shop was only worth 683 nps. I tried to explain the difference to her between the estimated value and the market value, but she sent me two more neomails telling me to lower the price to 683 because "that is all it is worth." I then told her to go bother someone else. And still she sent another neomail saying my price was wrong. I told her to stop harassing me. And then the little snot had the nerve to tell me that I was harassing her and that if I didn't stop, she'd report me!

So, the jerks are out there.

To cover your "behind" just in case this person decides to report you for breathing, I suggest sending something to Neopets about the situation-- explain what happened, copy everything this person said and say that you aren't reporting him/her but just want them to know about the situation in case he/she files a false report against you.

Heh, best thing to do is ignore those kind of Neopians. Half the time they don't know what there saying or there trying to be clever.

But you never know sometimes whether it's Neopians like these which get your accounts iced.

the most convenient way is to totally ignore such neomails. by retorting, you might put yourself to risk. if you don't like or feel that you are intimidated, just send a copy of it to TNT.
