You need to wait every ten seconds (08:00:00, 08:00:10, 08:00:20, 08:00:30, 08:00:40, 08:00:50, 08:01:00 and so on)

Well, probability states that you have like a 40% chance of not losing. so every win you get you attribute to the ten second thing and every lose, you attribute to a very likely server lag. it might not have anything to do with the timing at all

EDIT:I also know how to always get one point of defence or level at colzan shrine! 8) It works for me.

Click aproach the shrine at any 4 second.
