Apparently, there are both cockatrices and basilisks in Harry Potter. There's the King of Serpents, the basilisk, but in Goblet of Fire Hermione mentions that she read about a previous Triwizard Tournament task that involved capturing a cockatrice. ^^;

...I think people are forgetting that this is a mythical creature from the IMAGINATION and can be whatever a person wants..


A basalisk in my mind is a giant pink guinea pig with rabies. :hug:
