World's Ugliest Dog (Don't say I didn't warn you)

I saw that dog on MSN News. The owner also had a second dog that is 2nd place World's Ugliest Dog. I actually thought the dog looked rather cute on the news.... lol But with those types of pictures, of course the dog looks hideous.

Does this woman go out looking for hideous dogs? You know... they say that people resemble their pets in some way...

Well, I know that the 2nd dog was actually her first. She actually found the World's Ugliest dog from a shelter that no one wanted to take. So I am assuming that she actually was looking for the worst. Unless, bless her heart, that she wanted to take these dogs because no one else would.

Skin problems are a definate problem with hairless breeds, which is what that dog is. *shrug* It's a pure bred dog... it's just... frightning.
They were bred as food, and to be used as bed warmers, kinda like hairless guinea pigs, but more loyal (and IMO less tasty.)

Sure, looks okay now, but when she came in the shelter most of her hair was missing and had such a horrible eye infection it appeared she had no eyes.

I agree. :[ I certainly would not like everyone to call me ugly if I was hairless and blind. If it was a person people would be like,"Oh how horrible, you can't say things like that about a person!"

Seriously, give it some hair and it wouldn't be that horrible looking. Like the thing can seriously help what it looks like. Saying there is no God over such a small thing is ridiculous in its own right, too. I admit I'd be a bit scared of it if I saw it walking around Main Street but come on.

Normally i'd agree. However I do believe this thread is all in good fun. On top of this, the owners are encouraging the fact that this is an ugly dog. She is after all entering it in ugly dog contests.

Bangel, none of those photos you posted are THAT ugly. They may have been worse for wear because of health problems...this dog is just ugly. Uuuuugly. U-G-L-Y. Jesus christ, it's UGLY.

I agree. Plus that this dog in particular (the first one was rather okay, for that matter) might have come in being ugly, but the ugly part was clearly not permanent.
