Pet pages are down again

Pet pages are down again, making them an unreliable way of passing on plot (or any other) information.

I believe abandoning pets is handled by the same server that handles the pet pages, the petpages server. And as it is the weekend I wouldn't expect them to be fixed any time soon :/ The exact same thing happened last weekend as well, you'd think it would be fixed *shakes fist*

I hope they work a little on the weekends, otherwise we'll be waiting til Monday. I wonder why they couldn't have fixed it right after last time though.

Petpages have probably become too large. An easy way to fix this problem would be to make petpages 100% optional. If someone creates a pet or adopts one, they'll also have to say "I want a petpage as well." It'd probably clear up a lot of room for all of those unused petpages. Heck, maybe even charge a small one time fee. And get rid of some of the much much older petpages. Like ones that haven't been edited since 2000 and earlier. If you want your petpage, you're obviously going to update it every once and awhile.

This really stinks because practically my whole guild is linked to petpages.

And I could have made someone happy today, by giving away my Camouflage Blumaroo off my lab account, but I always update my pets petpage before doing that, and since I can't update it today, and I probably won't be able to update it tomorrow, Binder is stuck.

Okay, I just got some info on why this is happening. Someone I know was trying to get to my petpage, since I have my userlookups there. But since they couldn't they thought it might be a bug and went to the bug report section but instead of reporting it, they found a notice somewhere in there stating that "the petpage and adpotion center systems are being revamped."
I don't recall if the person said revised, or revamped, but I am thinking it was ther latter.
This would explain why both are going down at once, and why both are showing abnormalities when they are running.

EDIT: oh and BTW, when petpages do return, anyone can feel free to use the UL's that I have on my Uni's petpage. I even have a version of the one that I won the UL spotlight with on there. My neo username is rain_the_windflower
