One thing you guys need to know is that Nintendo is making a regular controller attatchment. Here's a mockup from IGN,
http://media.cube.ign.com/articles/651/ ... 77147.html

But seriously, just think about the possibilities....

Well, that's it, I can't believe I'm actually looking more forward to the 360 now. O_O Not everyone is going to be able to adapt to that, and they should have seen that. It's too drastic of a move. It's like moving from 8-bit games to VR, it wasn't the time for that. Too many games will play awkwardly with the controller (at least what I can imagine), with only a select few being great for it. Having the possibility to use other controllers isn't a plus, it's a must that they had to do if they weren't going to tick all of their fans off. I'm definitely using other controllers in place of it, I can just imagine watching someone using the controller... it would even look awkward, rather it plays well or not. o_o

I love this! It goes beyond what I've ever thought of for a controller: imagine Tetris with this! Instead of "press button. blah.", "spin pointer! yea!".

Actually, Microsoft is probably really mad right now. A particular FPS could go from most popular game on Earth to most popular game of all time in all the universe with this!

Halo

This goes beyond "cool"... all the way to "kewl".

I don't care if it can fake being a controller. You'd still need to wave the thing around like a fool.

I'm busy imagining web-swinging with a revolution controller. or two. Most certainly perfect.

Also, there'll probably be a ton of games that require two pointers, so Nintendo will have to package two of them with the system. And most likely, we'll buy additional controllers in pairs.

by the way, anyone know if the other side of the "nunchuck" has location sensors?

Well... I'm officially WOWed.

If Nintendo actually manage to pull this off properly, there's a good chance a Revolution will be sitting in the living room sometime soon.

I've never been overly impressed with Nintendo stuff before. To me it was all meh-meh. But this is just... wow.

Possibly not. It wouldn't be too much of a hassle for Nintendo to add something to an in-game option screen that lets you turn the swinging on and off, right?

Hmmm. I could live with that. If its a good deal cheaper then the other 2 systems I might pick this thing up myself.

In response to my initial reaction, I am now heavily in favor of the controller, simply based on everything that's been said about it and the potential that it has. After seeing the concept skin accessory to make it like a normal controller, I am amazed at how much Nintendo has blown away the others in ingenuity.

Looks like some strenuous exercise to me. And you'll probably more likely break it than anything waving it around like that. But man, waving a "sword" around like that would be darned cool...

Yeah, having an "unique" controler would be cool... I am not by any way intersted in the 360 or PS3... I chose the DS over PSP because it's "unique" there are games in the DS that are a one of a kind... The PSP, however has just you know normal PS2, XBOX or Gamecube type-of-games, just the same old thang...

Back to the topic, at first the Revolution controller looked appauling, when I went to the Nintendo Australia website, it said, you can swing it like a sword in Zelda. That really made me go WOW! Most GC owners likes Zelda (In my opinion) And that would be great!!! Imagaine a fishing game while you're at it ^_^. And pointing a cross-hair using a controller... Now that would be awesome!!! Imagine playing Resident Evil!
