I just put on a freshly laundered pair of socks hot from the dryer, warming my feet. I love the soft warm feeling as they engulf my poor cold toes. Random, yes, but still really good.

On the flip side, I hate getting my feet cold and wet. I always take care to keep my feet dry, whether it be when I'm hiking or during the winter, by buying waterproof boots and nice thick socks.

The only exception to this rule is if I put on sandals during a rainstorm to go play in the mud puddles! Yes I still do this, and my roommates stare at me like I'm nuts when I do, but it is fun so I don't care. But reverting back to the rule, as soon as I'm done playing I hop in the shower (or hopefully a bath) and warm those toesies back up!

So I think nice warm feet, particularly socks right out of the dryer is one of the best things on earth. What do you think is the best stuff on earth?

Cold spots in the bed to roll onto in the morning are definitely nice. I don't think I would be able to say what is the best thing though.

Cold pillows. You just can't beat them. Pillows are always so warm, and it's hard to sleep with a warm pillow, but if you have a cold pillow it's the best night sleep you'll ever have.

I change my pillows over every now and then to get coolness.

Heh, I do that to when I can't sleep. I usually do that when it feels too hot in my room and then a cool pillow feels good. ^^

I understand the cold pillows on a night but on a morning I couldn't have a cold one, the warm ones that make you stay there for half an hour are the greatest.

Unfortunately my best feeling pair of socks are spiderman ones that my grandma bought me.

Best thing on earth? Strawberries.

When I wake up and it's warm...or when I fall asleep and it's warm. My house is always cold. Last night I slept in long pants, a shirt, a jacket, and a beanie. And right now my hands are freezing even though I came in like fifteen minutes ago. And getting stuff in the mail! And buying new really awesome shoes. And being on stage. And hanging out with friends doing absolutely nothing.

For me, true happiness is a rainy day, a huge glass of apple cider, a ham sandwich or some other greasy food, and Get Real on a loop. ^^
