Randomly gaining Neopoints?!

I've noticed something weird.. I tend to always keep 0 Neopoints on hand at all times. Very rarely do I EVER withdraw Neopoints unless I'm gonna buy something.

Well, today I logged on and had 0 Neopoints out - I go around a few pages and suddenly I have 300. Thinking I missed a random event I pressed back on my browser.. no Random Events. I shrug it off and then go forward to a different page and now I suddenly have 600 Neopoints.

I deposited it into my bank and the SAME THING happened again!

I've changed my password and reported this thinking it's a bug..the only contests I've entered recently are the Beauty Contest, Mystery Pic and LC..

Does anyone know what the heck is going on? I don't want to get frozen because of this.. ><

I'm glad you said that! I just logged back on and I got 300, too! And I've been wracking my brains as to why I have it!

I heard someone mention it on the neoboards but they seemed to be speaking complete and utter nonsense so I just disregarded what they were saying. In fact I still think they were speaking complete and utter nonsense, but complete and utter nonsense with a single note of truth that could've been completely coincidental amidst their rambling. *shrug*

Interesting. I was on earlier today but hadn't surfed the site in a few hours so I decided to test this out.

I got the 300 NP. o_O

I'm not Premium so that can't be it...

Maybe they're being generous??

Yeah, but is it non-tax under the table; or if not, would anyone that has gotten the ¥300 get a bonus bonus of a nice freeze?

Edit: Sorry if I freak anyone out. I just get ultra-paranoid really quickly. My second guess is less serious: Sloth is giving out radioactive points that will take over your mind and make you invest more in VPTS.

Friend of mine had over 200k appear in her account a few weeks ago, she got all excited and by the time she got to the bank to deposit it it had disappeared. Neo was being a little glitchy around that time, who knows what went on, but it was weird and funny!

My np are a little off from when I was on earlier, and I do see some boards about it so...probably just something funky going on and nothing to worry about I guess.

Woah! I tested this just now. I left 0 NP out yesterday (NST) and after midnight, it was put up to 311 Np.

At Midnight, if you have 0NP on hand, you get a little bonus

I had been on Neopets all morning - it wasn't there the first time I had logged on which was after midnight. :\

Guess I'll watch what happens to other people on the Neoboards and such before I start spazzing again..

I too seem to be accruing buttloads of "free NP". And I'm nervous as heck. My first thought was that I forgot I entered the beauty contest, because if my memory serves me corectly, yesterday I didn't have any more than 1000 NP, and 10 minutes ago it was up to 5839.

I did participate in the LDP.

I'm going to deposit everything but 10 NP, and track myself.
