The Fat Cat was one of the orignial Spooky petpets that was changed a couple years ago to the Baraga along with the other petpets.

It still exists as that petpet species because they never unequiped it so it's staying as it is.

That fat cat is adorable!!

I used to have a mongmong on one of my first pets, and without unequipping it or transferrign the pet, it got forcably changed to a flishy. He used to be

My pet used to have a Phishy, but then I stupidly unequipped it. This was after Neo had turned it into the ugly new Phnard

Yeah. So I guess it's the same situation as the fat cat - Neo updated the petpet, but it didn't affect those already equipped.

That's just obvious.

The fat cat's concept was an overweight greedy buisinessman (its description said it would spend all your neopet's money), which just doesn't make sense to be an entire species of petpet. A unique character, maybe, but not a petpet. Plus, it was an actual "earth" cat, which they decided shouldn't exist in neopia, and above all, it had absolutely nothing to do with the haunted woods.

It was cool, and still is, but it just didn't fit in...nor did most of the other spooky petpets.

The meowclops was originally a HUMAN cyclops wearing a toga. The snorlkin was originally "redtail", a baby devil in a diaper, and other spooky petpets included a baby vampire (also human), and various inanimate objects.

I think it made sense to change those, but it DIDN'T make sense to change the Rotten egg (one of my favorite petpets ever) and the Grackle trap (a carnivorous plant). They both worked just fine as creatures from the haunted woods and could've just been given a nice redraw.

Oops, I thought that the Fatcat was an overweight feline in a tux, didn't know it was supposed to be a businessman How odd. I wish that Neopets gave us polls whenever they wanted to reramp a petpet, like they used to do with Neopets. I miss the old Cyodrake >_>

i used to love red tails... and got one from the brain tree... no idea what happened to it...

I remember having a Sugar Rush and thinking it was the coolest thing. Then they changed it, and I got an ugly pig-looking creature with tusks. Stupid Pwerko.

I didnt like Fat Cat much, but the Baraga isnt any better.

I used to have a Grackle Trap called Pirahna Plant, but it changed to a Gremble. I didn't know it would change if I unequipped it.
