Listening to people who listen to the news.

And looking at newspapers in the stands as I go by.

BBC news, nine times out of ten, from the television, but occasionally I will chance the website.

ITV news always seemed rather scaremongering for my tastes.

Oh, and I also watch Richard & Judy... They often cover major news stories and such, often on a lighter note, which is nice. And they have 'You say we pay'. *sigh*

Claps. The first person to answer with a shouting head everybody. Claps. Not only that it is the Big Head himself. Claps.

I get my news largely from Google News Canada (if you don't know what that does, it just grabs links to news articles from all over). Unfortunately, it doesn't show much local stuff, so I get that from watching the Chinese news or occasionally CTV news.

In the morning, I get one or two headlines from the radio.

At school, I usually don't have access to this stuff, so I get news either from Metro Vancouver (0¢ newspaper), Dose Vancouver (0¢ magazine) or 24 Hours Vancouver (0¢ magazine). All are free, accessible from newspaper stands across the street, and can be read within the lunch hour, so that makes me happy, since I have to get my news fix everyday. :P I usually stick with Metro, but take the other ones if Metro runs out.

 You and me both. My alarm is set to a NPR right at their morning news 3-hrs, and the first thing I do when I get home is turn the TV straight to Countdown, usually in time for Oddball (got to love crazy video from Japan). :)

Mainly from the BBC world news feed on livejournal - I read the headlines and click for the full story of anything that looks interesting.

I usually watch CNN for at least two hours a day to get my news. Sometimes I check out their website. Occasionally, I'll watch the local news or the NBC nightly news. I love the Daily Show and Colbert Report, but they're on too late for me  I wish they were on at the same time as the regular local and nightly news times. I bet then you'd really see where people get their news from.

Daily Show and Colbert Report usually rebroadcast around 8 PM. It is usually the episode from the night before. I don't know about when the Friday shows are rebroadcast.

I know that they're rebroadcast the next day. There's just something about seeing news that's a day old that I just don't deal with very well. The shows are still hilarious to watch, but it doesn't have as much punch as the day it was really on.
