Hears some TWW trivia..... on Pi day at school, two years ago (3-14) (march 14th) there was a school-wide contest which eventually turned into a district-wide contest to see how could remember the most digits of pi. The person who could write down the most in order would win....
I won. I still have my certificate. I memorized 316 digits of Pi!
No, its no 10,000..... but come on, for a guy who doesnt have time to make 10,000 digits his life goal..... 316 is pretty good, right?
My technique was not to memorize numbers in order, but remember several groups of about 10 numbers. Off the top of my head, I remember:
you start off with the obvious: 3.1415926535
then the next group is (8979,3238,
then the next group is 46264, 3383, 279
then the next group is 50288419
then the next group is 7169, 3993, 751
andddd from there i dont need to list them all... but.. . it basically ends there. I dont remember past 70 or so...
