12th April

* Defenders of Neopia: Series 2 - A new villain threatens Neopia, and a new series of DoN missions begins! Judge Hog takes on Mr. Chuckles, and you're the only one that can help... if you can find his secret villain hideout, that is.

This means that Series 1 is over! (Congrats if you've defeated all 17 challengers!) While no new challengers will be added, the series is still open for anyone who wants to begin/continue those missions. You can also do missions from both series simultaneously if you wish! The Defenders never turn away a helping hand.

* A new Neopedia gives us a bit of info on one of Neopia's greatest crime fighters, Judge Hog!

* Place this new Background on your desktop and ponder the mysteries of good versus evil.

* New Feature! - We've now (hopefully) made it much easier to select a shopkeeper for your shop! Shopkeepers are organized by species and colour, and you can search the list for Petpets, activities, or anything you can think of. We'll be tweaking it and making sure everything is nifty before we move it over to galleries.

* Congratulations to rins_winter for winning the latest User Lookup of the Week award. Gnomes and Chombies are a good mix.

* Judge Hog finally takes his place in the Gallery of Heroes amongst the others who fight for justice in Neopia!

* Appoint deservers a very solemn round of applause for winning the Gallery Spotlight with his gallery dedicated to Grey items. *sigh*

* A new page of art has just gone up in the Art Gallery, for great justice.

* There is a new Mystery Pic competition. The answer to the last one was Gift Tags Header. 228 people guessed correctly, earning them 8,772 NP each.

* Let your friends in on your secret identity by sending them one of these new Defenders Greetings!

* And finally, this week's Meridell Castle Spotlight goes to joek293 for The Ending. Well done!

Yay, I'm excited about DoN series 2! I beat the Qasalan Mummy (the final challenger in DoN) a little while ago and I've been waiting for someone new to fight. The clown is only difficulty 10, hee. Tip on finding him, go to the haunted Scratchcards and see Sidney... hover your mouse over his picture.

yup, you can no longer refresh for that avatar. Now, you have to get it the real way, by just fighting and winning a lot.

Does the trophy take a while to show up? I beat the guy easily but I didn't get it. I also went back to Defenders and got the message that I beat him and I will get a trophy.

There's another DoN page you have to go to (I sadly forget which one) that has a button on the bottom that says "Collect Prize" or something similar. That's how I got my trophy.
