Asians normally eat with a fork and spoon. This i presume is because we have rice in our diet 95% of the time. It makes eating much easier. try eating rice with a fork and knife. If you come to a food court in Singapore or even in Malaysia, you'll see that they will have forks and spoons in the utensils corner. Most of the time i only see forks and knifes are in the Western Food area. Someone really needs to educate this teacher.

Well, my idiot History teacher sent me to the office about it, but one google search later I was able to convince the principal that I was just showing my extreme appreciation for an insanely talented seiyuu, and he let me go.

My history teacher still glares at me whenever I wear it, though. It's not even like the picture on it's weird or anything! It's just this with red lettering under it. O.o

To be fair to your history teacher, that is a pretty satanic photo. I mean, the perfectly semetical 'black' eyes... the Angelina Jolie lips...

Nessa is right.

I suspect that if more of our teen boys were told the original meaning behind the baggy pants, the fad would end soon enough. At a teacher in-service on gangs, a specialist who works with such groups informed us that the fad came straight out of the prisons. The speaker explained that in prison those baggy pants are the trademark of a prison prostitute and thus advertise availability.

We were both right, maybe not California's prison's but it's usually called 'California style' because that state known for having homosexual citizens.

Headline suggests the international community is protesting against the boy, suggesting that there's some UTTERLY HORRIBLE ANIMAL CRUELTY (won't someone please think of the pandas?) going on there. Turns out Philippines is objecting to a policy made by a single school regarding someone who uses a spoon and a fork to eat.

Where's my shocking international controversy?! Where are my pandas?!

---

The boy's eating habits don't bother me, he can do whatever he wants to. Educational instutition staff is rather annoyingly intolerant, nothing new there. Philippines' Ambassador wrote a letter, great, turns out ambassadors actually do their jobs. Unnamed anti-racism groups get to repeat what they've been saying for the last decade.
Now, tell me, is someone suing the school for traumatizing the child?

On a side note, eating rice with fork and knife works. You move the rice onto the fork with the knife if there's insufficient rice to simply place the fork under it and lift. Of couse, everybody should be free to do whichever they feel most comfortable with. :)

Thank you Fidds :) I was googling to try to put it into 'ppt appropriate' words, but couldn't find anything, so I had to leave it at that haha.

and Snippy has confused me, to the point of no return. oO I have never heard of it referred to as 'California's style.' I've heard of San Francisco's gay community, but not on regards to the entire state. California is generally known for the excentrics and wide variety of different people.

What is her problem? If he was scoffing his food and using his hands and getting food all over the place, THEN she has the right to call him a disgusting pig. I don't see anything wrong with the way he eats at all. I can remember getting told off because I chewed my food too fast. I couldn't help it so I just continued and in the end they chose to ignore it. I really hope the teachers at his school can do the same.

I don't think any teacher has a right to call any student a disgusting pig. Considering there are a lot of people (as I am sure you can understand) who have taken abuse from teachers or unfair treatment from them, I cannot believe you'd ever say that a teacher has a right to call someone a disgusting pig.

That is my opinion though. I think that any child who eats like that would have the right to be called a disgusting pig. Eating like that is a total lack of manners in my opinion.
