Ok thanks Now I'm stuck on the gears , why did it have to be on the last constellation that everything is going wrong....

Are there specific gears you have to put the rocks into, or is it random

There are specific gears, but they're different for everyone. To find out which gears you need, stick a rock behind the first one, then go back to the janitor and click the sun button. Then when you can see the view from above the Hall, check how many notches to the right the ceiling is. You need to find the gears that turn the ceiling 4, 5 & 6 notches respectively. Then when you've found them, put all three rocks in those gears and press the button again. If the janitor tells you you've broken the gears at any point you'll need to start again.

Im pondering as to why the new coords are popping up now.. wondering as for the fact that at first it was mainly 12x12 and 9x9 etc.. then we hit the annoying 12x15... now we are getting completley into the random (yet still multiples of 3) ones! gah

Have you stuck a rock behind a gear and clicked the sun button? It should be pretty obvious then.

Maybe it's got nothing to do with where you find it - maybe it's the number of rooms you've seen, like with the box of Meepits. That was found after three clicks in any directions - could it be the same here?

And, as everyone seems to be producing their spell-book with multiples of three - could this be related?

I'm just frustrated that I still can't find my spell book. Maybe I could just buy one, or borrow somebodies or something.
