That would make sense, but the same New Member won't submit a score where they lose...so even if they only submitt a few (the ones they manage to win) they will still be boosting some of the teams who are allready winning a lot.

Not if it's averages that get counted, which it very much looks like considering Faerielands performance.

And Roo Island would've been my third choice. Might still be if Darigan loses.

Not submitting any scores will hurt a team, such was the case with Faerieland, we had so many people who didn't submit scores (or they couldn't figure out how to win and won't in the next round), that even all of the people who did couldn't help us win because the percentage of supporters inactive was so large there wasn't any making up for it.

I have been trying out the teams left, practicing against Jelly World, and was wondering if anyone noticed more about the ease of control and maneuvering of the different teams? I took some notes on what I noticed:

Krawk Island - average
Brightvale - most promising
Darigan Citadel - slow but fairly skilled
Mystery Island - slightly above average
Haunted Woods - poor control and skill
Lost Desert - slow but fairly skilled
Meridell - very promising
Roo Island - too fast, difficult to control

This is by no means to create any sort of "argument" of course. Only my initial observations and I am curious to know if it is in any way "consistent" at all? I was inclined toward Darigan until I played with them and noticed they were a bit slow for my taste and slightly hard to maneuver. Conversely I tried to avoid the "cheaters" of Brightvale but they seem to actually have been endowed with the most speed and skill? I seemed to have the worst luck with Haunted Woods (Jelly World scored a rare 3 against them) and Roo Island seems so fast as to go out of control a lot, I swear my men were slipping and sliding all over the place.

Do you guys notice similar? Or is it just me nitpicking with varied "luck"?

Woo Roo Island! I don't find Roo island "too fast" and "difficult to control." seems..very easy to me..but I wouldn't be able to tell the diffrence anyways..I've only played as one team anyways. Suprised that we actually came out on top, we had..so little people I thought. :P

Nah, we're actually pretty popular! I've looked at a few "which team did you choose?" polls and we're always around average, at least. And I also find the speed excellent -- I always get to the ball first at "kickoff," my opponents have a hard time catching me when I have the ball, and I haven't lost a game yet. :)

wow, meridell won? I thought the money was on maraqua to win. Not that I'm doubting my team, but I figured it to be a long shot!
Oh, everyone thinks I'm crazy, just 'cause I try to warn people about the face-sucking aliens headed for Earth. Yeah, laugh now, have your face sucked off later. When the aliens come, I'll be the only one left with a face, and I'll be using that face to laugh at all of you, even though I'll be sad.

Havent had a lot of time

I am usually pretty good at these games but i have not had a lot of time to practice and only won around 2 times. I am really glad the Mystery Island did as good as it did. I have not had time to read all the entries, but does anyone know when the second round starts?

Peace

Let me start this by saying I am not being sexist b/c I am a girl. It appears that the teams most attractive to girls such as faerieland and maraqua are worst off than the ones more attractive to guys such as Krawk, Darigan and Haunted Woods. Now the only team that doesn't fit in is tyrannia but that can be associated with the fact that they are primitive compared to the reast of neopia.

What about virtupets? They're incredibly unpopular, but I'm sure TNT figured out a way to balance it out.

Virtupets would technically be attractive to guys however the fact it was designed by Dr. Sloth makes is evil and therefore less attractive regaurdless of the cute grundos and petpets the same goes for kreludor is has the mines which appear to be evil. Color and style of the plaques/coats of arms also can be associated with the popularity of a particular team
