Bye

As i learned with "Magic: The Gathering" its not worth it to put so much time and money in a game cq. dreamworld cq. hobby. A game, dreamworld or hobby has to be fun, not an obsession which drains your real-life functioning (school, job, contacts, etc). Unlike most here who are still in their youth at school i am unemployed and won't have much time for a fantasy world like this which requires so much time.

Formerly i have played real soccer as kid (its popular in my country like basketball is in USA). I've also played computer games similar to soccer on old PC, Gameboy, NES, Atari and Amiga. Seeing people enjoying a game like "Altador Cup" which has an absolute *curseword* gameplay is part of my decision. Apparently, since you get some "reward" from playing Altador Cup, it is worth it to put many hours in a game like this. I pass for this. I'd rather play a soccer game which is fun to me. Screw the reward.

The whole NP aspect also makes it very addicting which i recognize in MUDs and other fantasy games such as Morrowind and World of Warcraft.

Also, the influences to Neopets from the cult Church of Scientology become more and more apparent to me. As you may know, the CEO of Neopets Inc. is a Scientologist.

I gave all my items to my girlfriend.

I enjoyed Neopets when i started, but don't enjoy or need it anymore. Left to say, thanks to everyone who contributed to the LDP and Altador plot. Without PPT i would not have made it.

Bye.

Ok, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. Just say the nice stuff. Hope you had fun, and we hope to still see you around these forums!

Er...okay o_O I'm sorry you feel so strongly against something that is basically a game, the again I guess if you're taking Neopets that seriously it's best to leave. As for the whole Scientlogy thing, I'm betting you could find it's "influences" everywhere if you want to find them and develop conspiracy theories. But anyway, if you want to go then that's okay for you.

I work in process engineering and still find time for neopets and a social life as well as other activities... it all boils down to oneself basically.
