It is only superstition. You went to school right? Which had staircases. You probably passed about 20 people just going down one flight -- Passing someone on a staircase is bad luck. So is putting a hat on a bed.

Right, so let's just make this clear:

Family-oriented forum. See, that happens to mean, oh... Well, actually, it means just that. Family oriented. As in, children/minors come here. As in, posts such as the ones removed weren't exactly the sort that mommy and daddy would be happy to see their child reading.

Mine is a ruby and yes I do own one I dont know if I'm "proud" of it though. It's a very nice looking ring, I never wear it though because I sometimes lose the jewelry I'm wearing.

My birthstone is a pearl, which I think is a bit of a cop out. Its not even a gem!

But I do like what it represents, and atleast the powers it gives me are more subtle than invisability which is what my friens is for being born in October.

My birthstone is sapphire. I like it. It's nice, and I wouldn't trade it for another birthstone because I don't care too much about those. I don't own anything in my birthstone.

Rubies are cool but sometimes they look pink instead of red. :(

Garnets or bloodstones look cool for red gems.
