There is a security vulnerability in Opera versions 8.54 and earlier that can potentially allow someone to run code on your computer through the manipulation of certain graphics files. You should upgrade to Opera version 9 which does not have this issue.
To check the Opera version you are running, click on your "Help" menu at the top of the screen and then on "About Opera".
