Should PPT have quick links on the index to the last post?

The last thread in each topic.

Like where it says who the last person to post was (I think it's pointless just to have the name) it would have a quick link above their name to the thread they had just made the post in.

You mean ... a link to the last thread that the last person posted in next to the "last poster" username on the index page?

Some thread titles are quite long. It would stretch the screen. So, no. Anyway, what's wrong with an extra couple of clicks?

No... if you want to see the last topic posted in, just go to the freaking board and look. o_o

PPT actually had that hack on the old forums. I personally liked it.

If you're on dial-up (or extremely slow DSL, like me), it's kind of a waste to do that. Like for instance, "Oh Paul posted on the Music board". You go there, and it's not a thread you particularly care for.

(Speaking of! Paul...since you're the spelling wiz, can you tell me if "particularly" is spelled wrong? XD)

You already started a discussion on this in Site Discuss here so there isn't really a need to continue the discussion in a seperate thread on another board.
