True, someone said earlier it was some sort of racial slur..I don't know but Zidane never gets angry so it must have been something bad...

I wish that clip would go longer so I could see the other players reactions. (especially the Italians)

EDIt: Just found this:

I heard it was something about his family, this is what professional lip readers for the BBC are saying.

Yea. GO BBC 10PM NEWS!

Apparently, Materazzi said "I hope you and your family die a terrible death" and then told ZZ to "Go F*** Yourself", although we don't know what Zidane said due to the camera angle.

Lol, I wonder why he would say that. I mean who says that? Wait nevermind....

Well there was a lot of talk about how when its a live game(how could it not be live?) the Referee's have to see the play with their own eyes. People were saying how the only ref who saw it (sideline) must have seen it on t.v. Therefore Zidane would not have been kicked out of the game.

There are lot of rumours going around.

Most accurate seems to be that he called him 'figlio di puttana' or something along the lines of 'son of a smurf'. Which is actually a pretty standard insult in Europe, and not one that people usually take great exception too. Then possibly added 'Go F- yourself'.

That's what the Italian press are saying and other in Europe...and lip reading isn't an exact science.

Zidane's mother is dying though, which would touch a nerve.

The racism thing seems to be crap.

Don't they do that to any player who gets a straight red card?
In any case... I hope we hear what Materazi actually said... twill be interesting... although I doubt it'll actually come out.

In any case, Yay for Italia for winning!

Apparently Materazzi asked Zidane what it felt like to be headbutted in the chest.
