I'm pretty positive that isn't going to happen unless more providers start offering the game instead of just cingular. & then after that's exhausted for a few months, then they'll open it up.

I give it a year at the most before Lutari Island's open to everyone. Do you remember how Terror Mountin and Mystery Island used to only be open to those who could afford the statues? Same thing. People will get bored of having to pay to get there, and stop going, then they'll open it up to the rest of us.

and if altador really is only a mini plot then i doubt this is a continuation of it. who knows though... maybe all their good ideas couldn't be contained into one plot. o_O

It's possible. Though because there is real-life money involved, it might be different this time. It probably depends a lot on the extent of Cingular's involvement in the whole deal.

We're in the same boat (no pun intended)! That blurry island is suspicious, but all I can think is "Hoban would either have had to have been picked up by someone else, or else be a REALLY strong swimmer to be able to make it all the way up to Terror Mountain. oO" ...which isn't really helpful. :P

Altador was the first plot I actually tried to take part in, and I fizzled out before I'd even really gotten started. I'm kinda excited about this plot because maybe I'll actually be able to do something this time around.

I can't afford a cellphone yet, but is it pathetic that I'm considering going with Cingular just so I can get access to Lutari Island? >>

If you do go with Cingular, make sure the phone is actually compatible with that service. I have Cingular and a damn good phone, but Lutari Island isn't compatible with my phone ~.~. And I would have gladly paid for it too.

I had an idea about the avatar...What if it's something like the Hubert's Hotdog clue in ... one of the old plots, can't remember which, where you have to add something to the URL? From what I've heard, the only things really being tried are cooking pot mixtures.

Very good idea.Next time the ship appers I'll try that.

That wasn't as annoying to me as the very last step, with the rocks and the gears. >>

Thanks. I'm just trying to think outside the box - or the pot, as the case may be. :P

Actually, if you go to this url ==> http://www.neopets.com/mobile/findout.phtml
you can read near the bottom in small print that it'll soon be available on more phones and through other carriers. I can't wait until it comes to Sprint! (Though considering TNT's definition of the word 'soon', it wouldn't be wise to count on it just yet...)

I really do hope it has nothing to do with the plot, though. What a pain that would be for those of us who don't have Cingular and or a compatable phone.

I read your post, it loaded, I played for a bit and sent my score. Everything worked.

Only 1003, though. No trophy yet:(
