Malkrucioi - an Italian dish, and rather spicy, often mistaken to be of Mexican origin. It involves meat, primarily beef or lamb, with a selection of herbs and spices, mostly cinnamon, roasted in a puff pastry sleeve, while still red in colour, with a barbeque flavoured glaze over the top. It is often seen as a risk that the pastry may be undercooked, so many choose to cook it at a hot temperature in the oven, leaving the pastry cooked, and the middle of the meat still rare. It is traditionally served with thin pasta sheets, though vegtables have become more popular.
