put the lamppost in the middle of the lighted room, put the mirror under it in the normal spot, put the food in a corner of the room, put the chair above the lampost, he will eat the food, look in the mirror trip over the lampost and hit his head on the chair.. TBC

Kay guys. I decided to expiriment with the coords a bit to try to match my item positions close enough to the screens on Stantlerman23's petpage. With these I managed to get the monster to look at the mirror and run away.

These are just EXPERIMENT coords, so I apologize if they don't work:
<s>lamppost - 235,140
mirror - 240,330
key - 110,310
chair - 365,205
garbage - 240,215</s>

I just want to say that I tried this exact same thing about an hour ago and nothing happened...now all of a sudden it works...makes no sense...wonder what's next o_O

I had my stuff positioned in almost exactly the same way as norton4lf, but he didn't whack his head on the chair. :(

Yeah I can't get him to hit the chair either so I'm just moving the chair around the room and hoping I will get lucky.

The most annoying part of this is getting the beast in the room without getting you first.

Hey all, mine worked with everything in the same position as Norton's, except that for me the food had to be in the upper left corner rather than the bottom right:

Chair: top center
lamppost: center of the light
mirror: bottom center
Food: upper left corner


Also ** I found that it did NOT work in the first lit room I tried, but only the second. In the first lit room he just looked at the mirror and ran away, so be sure to try both rooms! :D

well he hit the chair, but: It's dark, and you can't tell what the creature is. It seems to be alternately growling and whimpering. Is it safe to approach?


But you hesitate too long, and the creature suddenly lurches to its feet and flees into another part of the cave!

i guess that means i need a lighted room...

Huh...the positioning worked for me just now. Thanks, norton! Although for a while there, I couldn't even get him to see his reflection in a room where I could before. So I moved to another one (a lit one), set up the items, and lo and behold, everything worked.

Maybe try changing rooms if you're having problems? *shrug*
