Yes to the first, but I'm pretty sure the words were changed long after the news came out... news has been out for ages now. We're taking too long; TNT seems to be trying to move this plot along on a schedule and as far as I know, no one anywhere has solved this yet. So we get hints. Works for me!

Wait, power is the only property to cause that?
It has to have a high power number to get the ghosty colour - higher than the rest of them. If it's close to another, that's when you get teh red-ghosty, blue-ghosty and yellow ghosty colours.

I'm doing that, too. And in case it matters what order we perform the actions in, I'm going Dessicate->Burn->Crush->Soak.
For bloodfern loam, burning it to the max causes +60 Conjuring, and -30 to everything else.
I *think* that no matter what you do to Leafy Slorgblossom, if you do it to the max, you get a certain amount of Divination, half as much Power and Enchantment, and 1/4 as much Conjuring.

Wouldn't it make sense that the attribute we're working for has some relevancy to the name of the composition? For example, Enchantment sounds like a good bet to me. but then again...all of them could be...
