burn 3 g wool to reach 276 each cong and divination
soak 3 g jurpleberries to reach 136 divination
add 3 g each of two other ingredients

Bloodfoam also has a few negatives maxed. I think you might be on to something there.

I soaked the wool and this is what i get.

if you max out wool you get -300 on everything. Is there an ingredient that makes everything 300? Has anyone tried getting values of zero?

I could really use some help here:

I've tried 4 times now to make the Spectral Potion for step 4 and have failed every time. I don't understand why this isn't working:

I tried 3 grams of Slorgblossom, raised to Conjuration 9, and then 20 grams of Bloodroot raised to 270 for 10 and 360 for 10.

I'm supposed to get:

Shouldn't it switch from "Msc Composition" to "Spectral Essence" this time? What do I need to do to make it do so?

I don't mind the fiddling with the numbers part, that's just averaging. But not getting to change into "Spectral Essence" is driving me mad!

So... help?

I think the max you can have is 2 g of slorgblossom.
I did 10, 10, 1 of bloodfern. I maxed the bloodern on both soak and crush and then raised the conjuring on the slorgblossom to 14 and it worked perfectly

Squee! I managed to figure out my composite #3 with *gasp* math and the chart from SierraSea. Realizing that you can use ingredients without doing anything to them helped tremendously. Instead of having to deal with 4 or 8 different numbers, I only had to concern myself with two.

Required:
Composite #3:
Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Divination
Target value: +70 +/- 2
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +105 +/- 2

What I did:
-Dessicated 3 grams of wool to 280 enchantment and divination. (280+0+0+0/4)=70
-Burned 3 grams of jurpleberries to 144 enchantment. (280+144+0+0)/4=106
-Then added 3 grams of something I hadn't used, and another 3 grams of something else I hadn't used. Did nothing to those.

Result:
Miscellaneous Composition
Quantity: 12 grams
Conjuring: -280
Divination: +70
Enchantment: +106
Power: +70

For 23 grams of Spectras Essence you need 21 grams of bloodfern and 2 grams of slorg.

I think the standard working recepy is

Three times 7 grams of bloodfern, crushed and soaked to max

2 grams of slorgstuff, burned to max.

But look it up, there's one on page 1 of the thread (might be linked)

I finally got my spectral essence. Yay!
But now i'm stuck on my composite.

Composite #2:

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Divination
Target value: +79 +/- 3
Relevant property: Power
Target value: +78 +/- 3

I've been trying to look some up to see if any match.. but no.. Apparently not. Unless i've just been looking in the wrong areas.
Math and I.. well.. we don't get a long.
Heck, it took me three tries to get through level 2..

Any advice?

Can someone help me please? I thought I could just use jurple to get them to where they need to be, but when i combine them with three other ingredients, they change! help!
