im having problems wiht comp 3 for part 5.

i need

Quantity: 5 grams
Relevant property: Divination
Target value: +300 +/- 1
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +300 +/- 1

in an earlier thread here



and on Alex's pet page it says


both of which should work right? except ive tried both and ended up wiht the wrong value for power. I cant get my brain to kick in and work out why, nor by how much to bring the enchantment up to get a combined enchantment of 300 instead of 240ish which is was.

Still no solutions for Psionic Singularity or Platinum Mist.
Im silly enough to have stayed up for 12 hours testing potions too. Nobody can say Im a slacker on this plot xD

It kind of bothers me that some people wait around doing absolutely nothing when steps need figured out. I understand if someones busy or doesnt have the mind for testing. But come on, if you're going to hang out on the ToW neoboard for a few hours, be useful or encouraging! Ive seen some ridiculous, blatantly lazy people who have the nerve to criticise Mist/Psionic testers because we arent fast enough and they want to go to bed. I want to go to bed too D:

Heh, just finished Part 4.



Made me laugh for ages. I must be going mental, through too much burning, crushing, dessicating etc.

Obviously not forgetting the wonderful soaking.

And I have to make some Platinum Mist. Joy, double joy and triple joyousness.

Well, I'm going to make a start on Platinum Mist testing. Hopefully it'll be something not too complicated - hopefully through combination we'll get something.

I used 3g of 4 different ingredients for #3. I thought it was perfect but it blew up in my face!!

for those who are testing for anything special (mist/psionic):

NO maxing on any combination of things of 4g nova, 4g bronze, and 2g sharp will get anything.

in order words, combining 4g nova, 4g bronze, and 2g sharp with maxing out on certain things will NOT result in anything special.

[[edit]] actually, i only did maxes that were the same for all three. in other words, i did NOT test 4g nova max soaked, 4g bronze max burned, and 2g sharp max crushed and burned. and stuff like that. i only tested combos like 4g n, 4g b, 2g s all max burned and soaked.

I'm not testing, but I'm helping people out with composites, and making my petpage. That's gotta count for something, right? XD

mercurius - The values look correct, the only thing I can think of is that your Conjuring is something like 63.9, but shows as rounded - however it's not low enough to fit in the parameters. :/

It's your Conjuring. I've heard that 66 +/-2 doeasn't meant 64 -68, it means 65 to 67...

Again, it's probably your Spectral Essence. Most of the problems I've seen have been when the value is at 276, and it's likely a rounding issue.

Do this:

20g Bloodfern Loam -- Crushed and Soaked
5g Leafy Slorgblossom -- Crushed, Soaked and Dessicated

And it should work.

3g Bumroot, desiccated completely
3g Leafy Slorgblossom, desiccated completely
3g Bloodfern Loam, desiccated until the Divination value is 248 (yes, you'll need to stop and check this frequently)
3g Crushed Jurpleberries, unprocessed.
This yields a composite with 80 in both Divination and Enchantment, which should fit within your own +/- 3 parameters.

I put in a bug report for my lost spec essence, antigrav goo and composite 3, but... should I just go ahead and redo it?

I don't want to, but...

I find it odd that only one out of the three special mixtures has been found. Is it possible that you have to use that one to make the other two? I am going to give this a try. I just wanted to put my idea out there in case anyone else has already tried this.

It is kind of wild that theres been such a gap between discoveries. A big group of people have been testing combinations all night without hitting either of the unknowns, so it must've been crazy luck, or planned by TNT for Ice to have been found so soon. I dont know if anyones tried what youre saying, but if you do it, its not going to hurt. At least it'd be ruled out.
