If anyone is still having problems with Stage 4, I followed these instructions to a T and it worked perfectly:

Anti-Gravitic Goo

4g of Babaa Wool
3g of Crushed Jurpleberries
3g of Bagguss Pulp
BURN and CRUSH each, all to the MAX.

Spectral Essence

10 g Bloodfern - Crushed and Soaked MAX
10 g Bloodfern - Crushed and Soaked MAX
2 g Leafy Slorgblossom - Crushed, Soaked, and Desicatted MAX
1 g Bloodfern - Crushed, Soaked, and Desicatted MAX

Comp #3

1. Take your smallest number and multiply by 4.
2. Using 3 grams of wool, raise the stats you need to the above number.
3. Take your highest number and multiply by 4.
4. Subtract your number you got in 1. from your number in 3.
5. Using 3 grams of Jurpleberries, raise the stat of your highest number to the number you got in 4.
6. Add 3 grams of two other substances to which you have done nothing to.

Yep. The others can be any value at all. Try to get 275 if you can. 276 tends to fail.

wait, so we can add whatever as long as it's 275? or does it need to contain bloodfern and slorgblossom?

Yes it does have to because those are the only two reagents that make the essence what it is chemically.

there's a board on neopets where people are working together to find the answer, but i'm not up for it. it's 1.30 for me and i need sleep. i also don't have the patience to deal with it for a while. i wish everyone else luck and hope that maybe when i wake up it'll be there. (somehow i doubt it though)

Yes, i've got a document on my computer with a table of all the possible 3 ingredient combinations and with having like 4+ / 3+1- / 2+2- / 1+3- / 4- (numbers of positive/negative properties)

ok, i have a problem. i've built a composition for my second spectral esscence thing. i used 22 grams of bloodfern loam and 1 gram of slorgblossom. it's conjuring value had to be 275+-1, and it's 275. and i comnined it together, and it all looks good. except that it's still called a Miscellaneous Composition. Is this ok? or did i do something wrong? should it be called spectral esscence in the list of compositions?

to hydruxo, when I was creating the anti gravitic goo, I learned that it has to reach specific divination and conjuration (at least +200) for it to work, and also need specific combination (ie : 1:1:1 work, 4:4:2 work, 4:5:1 doesn't work)

Also for Spectral Essence needed a power of 350+

But i'm ruling out specific values for newer composites because I could make Ice Plasma by making any of the properties positive/negative.

thats a decent page but I found some of the calculations were a tad bit off when I tried using it before. So jsut be extra careful on the calculations

Ok, i'm on the level with the Spectral Essence

i'm currently making my spectral essence, and i'm trying to work out how to make the second composite. i know yesterday i found a page with a table of all the ingredients and their properties and stuff. I think that might help me.
Anyway, i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of any pages/posts that can help me, or could tell me what i need to do?
