It made sense to me. That's actually why I'm using my other pets instead of my battling one to fight now. I don't care what their BD scores are.

It is not the pet's scores that is the problem but your User Lookup score - it goes by ALL battledome fights - changing pets wont make any difference.

If you are only wanting to protect your battle pet score's - then changing to another pet is a good idea.

You need to complete both the asylum and the lab portions, from what I'm hearing.

From what I've heard you don't need to complete anything to fight him, but I may be wrong since I have both completed

*Sigh* I really don't want to lower my BD percentage but seeing as how this is our only choice...*sends pet to the slaughterhouse* Oh well. Hated it when it changed Mutant anyway.

Just curious: Is this so far the only thing we can do? No more puzzles, right?

Something has happened!
The Ghost Lupe growls and suddenly all your Neopets are healed back to max hit points!

I'm not sure what I said above is true, either, but I've been catching glimpses of the rumor on the Neoboards, so I thought I should throw it out in case it's true.

If it's impossible to even damage this guy, they really should have set this up so losses to the Mayor would NOT count towards overall BD scores. This is going to lower people's win percentages so much it's ridiculous, except for those who choose to not send their pets to their deaths and are rewarded with less plot points/prizes in the end. :\

That probably didn't make any sense, but I'm too tired to care.

I started battling by losing 468 times to the Spectre of Lord Darigan. My reward was 0 war points, a battledome record that reflects that I'm not afraid of challenges, and learning a lot of strategy on how to fight stronger opponents. It's not something that I've ever regretted.

Ah, that's right. Forgot there was a cumulative score too, sorry. *hides in a corner*

I just wish there wasn't so much guess work in the points/prize system.

I hear that. Have to wonder if plot points will be awarded for actually doing damage, or just for battling even if you fail to reduce his HP... because I just took the guy on for the nth time and my poor little 36 HP pet finally did damage for the first time. 15 HP worth. Not that it matters... or does it? >.> Bloody plots...

I have fought the Mayor 3 times -
1st time I done 281 damage.

2nd and 3rd times I did no damage.

If I can't do any damage, then there is no point in my fighting him.

I'd rather have puzzles than this, though not wandering through the woods looking for vines please
