I have the BFM - Squished Spiders avatar but can't seem to get my Meridell Knight avatar.

Yes I did fight for Meridell (Defender - 525 points)
No I don't have the Darigan Darkling avatar (or Darigan Redeemed for that matter)

Can anyone tell me what might be the problem.

I have a couple of things:

Icy Snowflake - low collat 15-20k
Drakonak - 8-10k

To get the Slorg avatar, does it have to be just a regular Slorg, or can painted Slorgs get the avvie too?

Unfortunately you're unable to get the Meridell Knight avatar as the Meridell Defender shield you have on your lookup is from a different war. The war that awarded the Meridell Knight and Darigan Darkling avatars was the Meridell vs. Darigan war, the shields were similar to this:



The war that you have the shield from was the Battle for Meridell war (which is the one that awarded the Squished Spiders and the Darigan Redeemed IF you'd fought on the side of Darigan in the Meridell vs Darigan war prior to it) where everyone fought Kass rather than half the population fighting against and half the population fighting for Darigan.



You can get the petpet avatars with any colour of the petpet. So long as it's a Slorg it won't matter what colour Slorg it is

I thought that was true, and I also thought you could get avatars from zapped petpets...but I have an aged Tyrannian Slorg, and no avvie.

Hmmm... that is strange. Only thing I can think of is that a very rare number of people have said they were unable to get the avatar because the petpet was too old. Additionally, if the petpet was originally equipped in another language so the pet would take it they often don't award avatars. Beyond that, the only thing I can think of is that perhaps because the pet is Grey and already awards an avatar when you visit its lookup (although I don't see why it should make a difference).

You're definitely going to your pets lookup and not the Quick Ref?
