Out of curiosity, how do you know this? I'd be delighted if you're right, of course - I didn't get to do any. But it doesn't really seem fair to all those who spent time doing it if it didn't count for anything.

I woud think it would be fair since it's likely very similar as far as the plot development as the furniture moving during the LDP (which a lot of us did, but we didn't get any extra points for it.)

Just because it's been done before doesn't make it fair. I think people (like myself) who put in a lot of time gravemarking SHOULD be compensated for that, same with digging and testing. If it doesn't count towards the overall score, there should at least be a seperate prize for the top testers or diggers or whatever, similar to the way they did in the Altador Cup with the team selection.

However, I think it would be perfectly reasonable to make everything count in one overall score. That way the battlers could catch up for plot they didn't do, or people who have slow connections can get points for fighting. You get a prize for saving Neovia, and anything you did toward that end should help you get a higher prize, no matter what it was.

TNT have already stated that digging doesn't count. It was in one of the editorials, I believe - prizes were already given for that section.

It's also fair to assume this will be like the LDP, based on that.

Moving blocks - Digging graves - Both had prizes in that section; Both did not count towards anything at the end.
Moving furniture - Marking graves - Using the past logic, it's fair to assume that as moving furniture did not count, neither will marking the graves.
Gone, forever.

I shouldn't have tried to read the entire solution page in one sitting, at night, after a workout. Was doing fine until I got to the potion making, and then suddenly AAAAARRRGH big math words scary make brain hurt :(

But yeah, I'm with everyone who's saying they're glad TNT's keeping us more in the loop this time. Makes me wonder why they didn't do it sooner. It's a win-win situation: our curiosity's satisfied and we don't flood the editorials for months asking about our prizes, and they don't have to waste time wading through all those questions. But eh, whatever, they ARE doing it now, and I'm happy that they are, so no big deal.

If it's for the same reason as me, then I don't blame you.

(My 92% BD score dropped like a rock to 50% after fighting him, and if he's not mentioned heavily in the walkthough, it makes me wonder if I'm going to get compensated for that. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't, but on the other hand it would be really nice to get something for my trouble.)

Same thing here... With only around a hundred battledome fights on my record, the 100+ I lost to the Mayor did some serious damage to my score. I'd love to see the fights with him not count on the records, but that's not likely. I'll be a little annoyed if it turns out I've got a permanent stain on my record and no extra points for it.

I am of the opinion that as grave digging had its own rewards it shouldn't count towards the points system (as people would be effectively rewarded twice for doing the same thing). However, as we got no rewards for grave marking there's no reason at all why it souldn't count towards the final scores.

I thought the only reason that furniture moving didn't count in the LDP was because of the data being lost, I would imagine they've fixed that problem now so there's no reason that gravemarking shouldn't count.

I was under the impression that in the LDP the block and furniture moving didn't count because it was a limited time thing, like the grave digging and marking. Once the end goal was achieved, it couldn't be done any more, so some people never got a chance to do it, so that's why it didn't count.

And so we are assuming that digging and marking won't count here either. But we won't know for sure until the prizes are given out. Well even if it didn't count, I'm still annoyed. Just on general principles. Cuz I'm generally annoyed all the time. ;) Heheh.

But fighting the battleopponents was also a limited time thing, because the opponnents were only up a few days and tnt already stated in the editorial that fighting would count towards our plot points. So there's no reason why gravemarking and potion fetching shouldn't count towards plot points because it's a time thing, while fighting was a time thing too and does count towards our score.

I would be annoyed if it didn't count towards anything. :(

Sometimes I know things. *shifty eyes*

It might count, who knows. But last I heard (while it was going on and I was complaining to someone that my computer was too slow to do it), I was told it wouldn't count.

I hope battling is worth a lot. Yes, it was limited time, too, but it was for a much longer time than gravemarking -- and even though lag was bad at first, it got much better later and battling was totally possible (unlike gravemarking, where every single yard seemed to get marked immediately, no matter the time of day).

And as for the mayor, I've said it before... it takes no skill to lose 100+ times. People were using the back-button trick to enter a fight with 0 hit points, losing instantly, so they didn't even have to spend NP on healing potions (and the programmers are aware of this). The guy's hit points were dropping at a fixed rate of 6.something per second anyway (dolphinling tested this to be sure), so it wasn't even necesary to pitch in and bring him down. I don't know for sure, but I doubt fighting him will be worth much -- maybe just a set amount of points for fighting each incarnation once.

Yes, but by the time it was possible to fight the opponnents were a lot more difficult. Meaning people with low level/low-intermediate pets weren't able to fight at all because it was impossible to fight the weaker opponnents during the lag and their pets weren't good enough to fight the stronger opponents.
So people with weaker pets didn't get a chance to fight, just like people with slower computers/slower internet connexions didn't get a chance to mark graves.

So I still think it would be fair if something like marking graves/testing bones/fetching potions earns us points too if something like fighting will earn us points. :)

I think alot of people will be upset if they didn't get any points for it. It doesn't take any skill to lose, but it will ruin someones bd-score to lose a 100 times.
Didn't battledomers in the meridell war earn opponents too for fighting the big boss Darigan, even though they only lost? (I'm not sure, I never participated in that war)
