Tip: Scroll right down to the "bottom", and hit F5. When an item comes up, click it immediately. I sniped about half a dozen once that way. But may not work for people with snow connection...

Wow, I wait all month for them to release new items decorated with holly, and not only do they release *4* new items in the shops, *both* of the advent items have little sprigs of holly on them!

Does anyone else feel that this year's animations are kind of halfhearted? I mean, they've reused music from other games twice now(Itchy Invasion, previously mentioned, and today's from Neoquest I), and the animations are generally very short and lame-joke-ish.

They also used a sound effect from Snowmuncher...the "munching" sound, actually. I think it's fine that they reuse sounds, but it should be made up for in the quality of the animation, I think.

Lame? I found several quite amusing, especially the crazed Techo fan from the Altador Cup and the snot-covered cookies. But I would definitely say that about half of them have been... not great.

I don't recall that music (yesterday's) being in Neoquest I or II, though it is similar to a song form NQ1 in that there is a french horn in it.

However, I do remember today's being used for a previous Advent Calendar.

EDIT: I just went through some of last year's animations, and many of the sound effects are identical to this year's. Not necessarily a bad thing; they work just as well, and allow TNT to spend more time on other things, such as Haunted Woods Plot prizes.

The music for the following days are the same:
-December 26th, 2005 and December 13th, 2006
-December 25th, 2005 and December 19th, 2006
-December 20th, 2005 and December 6th, 2006
-December 19th, 2005 and December 9th, 2006

The sound effects being reused, I don't have a problem with. After all, Sloth's laugh is probably hard to reproduce, and if you already have a convenient "munch munch" noise, why make a new one?
I would just like, when the music is two seconds long, not to hear something I've heard a lot before. Now, if the animation were related to Destructomatch, and they played the Destructomatch music, I think I'd be okay with that. Just not two things that are completely unrelated, like yesterday's animation.




Okay, they're not identical, the music has been slowed down and it's just a short phrase of the song that loops, but it's that same song from Neoquest I. The song is called "Conquest." I could not mistake it for anything else, not after hearing it a zillion times.
