I got it, and I did many things that other people did prior to visiting the calendar today. I saw a theory on the NeoBoards that makes sense; your account being at least 12 months old, and you haven't received a warning in the past year. I didn't get the sidebar last year, and I did receive a warning last year.

My account is over six years old and I've never gotten a warning, and I didn't get it last year (did this year). That theory's busted!

That can't be, I don't think I have ever received an official warning yet. *knock on wood*

Only alert I ever got from TNT was from Amanda in the BC, (she used theneopets team and alert message to notify me this) telling me not to put jmy email in the discription. (I wasn't planning on getting it accepted, but rather was trying to get her attention to tell me why my entry was being rejected after several attempts to enter it) But that was like more than a year ago. It didn't say it was an official warning either.

My account is only 4 months old, and I think I received a warning because of the censoring system being oversensitive. x-X I swear I could never figure out what I wrote that was wrong. I got the sidebar.

I got it at 1:23am NST (though they did say it would be available all day on the 13st). I've viewed all animations and collected all prizes this year, most of them within an hour after they were released (except a couple days), have no Snow or Christmas pets or petpets, had no other Advent items from this year in my inventory but maybe one or two from last year... have had my account for 69 months... and am not sure what else to theorize on.

On second thought, did anybody NOT get it? Maybe they just majorly loosened the qualifications this year...

I think it has to do with collecting advent calendar prizes every day, I did all the things that other people did and didn't get a sidebar. This isn't fair, I collected every single day except for that one day because I didn't have access to the internet. Stupid sidebar, stupid requirements, I hate this

No sidebar! I had snow items, as well as advent items from the past couple of days, but still nothing. I agree with kiay, I think it has to do with at least collecting all the items this year, because the day the Gobbler came out I didn't collect. Darned earthquake off Taiwan messed up the Asian 'net, and I couldn't get on until the day after.

I really don't know what happened, cause all i did was get all the prizes, and i saw people collecting all the items and doing all things on terror mountain, buying things as scratchcards and mystery items from tarla, and alot of other things, but i did recieve it and they didn't can't figure this out *rants about non-random randomness*

Am I the only one who didn't get it?

i've been reading the neoboards (proof of desperation on this) and it just seems soooo random. the only theory there that seems plausible is that there is a points system involved. you have to have or do at least a minimum number of things in order to qualify.

wonder weasel(?) was asking about visiting everyday. if you believe those who are bragging on the neoboards there are a number who have NOT gone everyday but have the sidebar.

Yay, I just got it!

Ummmm, let's see:

* Collected prizes every day (put them all in the SDB) and watched the animations all the way through before collecting.

* There were 10 random (common and cheap) plushies in my inventory.

* Neither active pet, nor petpet are X-Mas or Snow.

* Faerie Grundo is the av I've got active.

* The only winter things I did were scratchcards and the Snowager. I tried some Snow Faerie Quests, but never completed any (items asked were over my limit every time).

* My account is 29 months old.

* My current shopkeeper is the Christmas Acara one.
