Disappearing NP- Over 300k from bank
this is being posted for a very close friend of mine.
---
I had over 300k in my bank account. Took some out to play poker, and when I went back to get a little more, I had absolutely NOTHING in my account.
Not one penny. Or.. neopoint.
I hat my 7k on hand from before, but all my money in the bank is GONE
Is this happening to anyone else? Did I get CG or anything? 'I changed my PW and pin, I still have 30k in mt shop till. Is this a glitch?
Please help D:

There have been several reports of glitches ever since the start of this past weekend. Morningstar and her guildmates believe that the glitches are only occurring for certain usernames, mainly names starting with F, S, G, and T. Seeing how your username on Neo starts with T, I'm guessing your part of this mysterious server glitch that's going on. I'm sorry to hear that you lost so much

Personally, I would stay away from moving anything, whether it be items or Neopoints. I wouldn't take any money out of the bank or shop till, I wouldn't move any items between inventory, shop, or safety deposit box, and I wouldn't touch stocks either. That's just what I would do to be extra cautious against losing anything valuable.

Oh, gosh, Troggy, I feel so sorry for your friend. I lost a million late Friday night/early Saturday morning when I was withdrawing from my till. It crushed me, but luckily it didn't wipe me out. Tell your friend to write Neopets about it, with detailed info. The more that us who write to complain, the better our chances of getting it back. Personally, I intend to write them every other day and also to send a snail mail. It is not so much the nps I lost, but the principle of the thing that irks me.
Oh, and Mayanspypilot is right. I tossed this around with a good friend of mine and he is the one who said gosh everyone you have mentioned is either on the shop wiz line of f/s or g/t. All of the people I knew who had glitches were usernames with f, s, g or t. But not all of the glitches were shop related. Once was transferring a pet and her page just sat there and didn't load. Another was moving an item to her SDB and the item disappeared. Another was redeeming a TCG code and didn't get her item.
By the way, for those of you who are interested, the posts I made about the glitch are here: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31198 and http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31184

*gulps* Um... my username begins with a "g"... and I did all my dailies and collected my back interest before coming here. But everything was fine for me!!! But it's kinda scary to think that I was in danger of losing money or items or something, and didn't even know it!

And, I don't want to needlessly scare you. You might not have this happen to you at all. What seems to happen is that Neo is running fine and dandy and then all of a sudden it hiccups--only for a second, mind you. Those people who aren't online or aren't in the middle of moving nps or items, don't even realize it. But those who are in the middle of moving nps or items might realize it. My guess it that it doesn't happen to everyone moving items/nps during that time of glitchiness. But perhaps for some of them, their transfers get dropped, and never recaptured (i.e., reconciled with error messages). So, those transfers are sitting in limbo on an error page somewhere. And, from my informal research, it seems to be hitting some of those users with names that start with f, g, s, and t.

Anyone else notice that f/s and g/t are shop wiz combinations?
That makes me even more convinced that what's happening is that there are servers down, since I would guess that their server workload is distributed and segregated according to that same letter system that pops up in the shop wizard - which is why we see the same username combinations pop up.

I would have never noticed that, but it makes perfect sense.

I agree, shapu. That's why I went from selling 2-3 million a day in neggs to selling the gross foods I found in my SDB for hmmm, maybe 2K if I am lucky. Better to have a 2K np positive balance than a 1 million np negative balance. I can wait it out. Hopefully my regular customers can as well.
