I liked the Navy guy from Arizona. However, I honestly don't think any of them will make it to the top 24 and certainly not the top 12. The girl who sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" did it exactly like Katherine McPhee and I thought that was a mistake. If she's going to make it, she needs to make it her own.

I know how you feel. I was totally ticked when Chris lost...
I cried for weeks. =(
I hear he's done good on the charts though.. better that he lost so he could stay with his band, right?
1. His album was number one on Billboard charts at one point.
2. It went platinum.
3. I would say that is doing well, yes.
4. He didn't stay with his band.
5. RCA made him get a new one.

the greatest love story never told.

Actually was the worst day for me. Chris lost, My boyfriend and I broke up, my dad almost lost his job... there were a few others but I was most upset about Chris (is that bad?)

I was very upset when Chris was voted out, I was 99% sure he would win the whole thing. Of course, voters have made some bad choices in the past - here's a semi-timeline
Season 1: Nikki McKibbin getting farther than Tamyra Gray
Season 2: Ruben beating Clay
Season 3: Jasmine getting farther than LaToya
Season 4: Um...hello? Scott Savol? How did he get so far? There was some really good talent that season, like Anwar Robinson who we never hear about.
Season 5: Chris getting voted off
I think the funniest audition last night was the girl who had a Wizard of Oz obsession and when she sang, she sounded like Chewbacca.
There was some good talent last night, but it's too early for me to pick a favorite.
OMG guys! The debut got 37.3 million U.S. viewers! (http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman ... e_9573.asp)

Pfft. Even though I boycotted it last year, I'm watching it for reasons unbeknownst (...spell check says that's not a word. Oh well) to me.
The army chick in Minnesota was good.
The brother and sister from Washington were really good too. I think S...S...the girl (don't even remember how to spell it) should try to challenge her voice more by holding notes.
OH. AND THE GIRL THAT RANDY MADE HER SING SHAKIRA. SHE WAS GOOD. As soon as I saw her, I thought Shakira.

Wow Seattle sucked. That really wasn't good. I've liked previous years formatting more, I mean... they just seem to be spending less time on good people or something. Either that or Seattle really had no one (which I tend not to believe). I'm not impressed with how they treated a couple of their contestants.
As for Paula... i've got my concerns. I know she suffers from some sort of chronic pain but honestly, she needs to switch her meds and lay off the caffiene.
And after some examination...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_re ... n_syndrome This is what she's got. Which must suck, it certainly doesn't sound fun. In the past thats what her erratic behaviours been attributed too. But even Simon is giving her strange looks and is watching her a lot more then he used to.
And when did Randy become such a jerk?

Evisceration is a sign of respect.

Yeah, Randy's always a bit... on and off, from what I've seen, but I was thinking the same thing. He seemed to be even more of a jerk than Simon, and that... well, an accomplishment.
I don't think Seattle is quite as bad as they made it out to be, since they still took a handful of people, but I think there were so many unusual people there that they just decided to chop most of the singers that made it from the entire episode and focus mainly on the terrible singers. I wish they had spent more time on the good singer, but wow, I was laughing my head off last night, mostly at the cocky people that think they're amazing and are terrible (Bohemian Rhapsody anyone?)
