And we're back...

Wow. For those of you who have remained totally ignorant of the world temperature, it's been quite cold all across America. I was in one of the *really* bad areas, and have been without power since Friday.

Sooo, how's your weather been?

lol...we've had snow storms and ice and all sorts of weirdness for this time of year for where I am. Luckily stuff started to melt today, so that's good.

Horrendous. We've had so many storms, so much snow, so many accidents. It's a really uncharacteristic winter for Vancouver. Usually it's just a lot of rain with a bit of snow here and there.

The roof of BC place ripped and collapsed, and Stanley Park is ruined. Parts of the seawall had water get underneath the asphalt and caused pieces of it to just float off into the forest or onto the beach.

Weird.

Cold in America? It's still reasonably warm here. I think the temp fell to the upper teens, that's usually what the high would be here, at this time in the year.

Blech, it's been way too warm this winter. We're finally starting to get colder weather now though. It was below zero today, for the first time this year I think(and yet I was still waiting for the bus with only a light fleece over my t-shirt, and a hat :P). We got some snow sunday, not a ton but enough that it actually looks like it snowed, and it didn't melt after a day. Then monday it changed to freezing rain. We still had school though. And that is the state of my weather thus far. I hope we get even more snow soon, but hopefully we at least got enough that the ski areas can get some more trails open.

Freezing in the mornings, like in the low 30s, and I always have to get ice off my windshield. The temperature in the day is in the 40s usually.

This is probably not cold to some people who live in like the Eastern U.S., but it kind of is for me because the summers are REALLY hot at like 80-115 degrees. Not all of California = warm weather and beaches. We actually have seasons.

We've had two blizzards, and two smaller snow storms. We haven't seen the pavement on our street since Dec 21st.

Negative temps over the weekend but sunny and slightly warmer this week.

The years we've lived here, we didn't get blizzards until March or April, so it's kinda strange to have winter be so wintery :P

I feel so bad for the people dealing with the ice storms. :( I just can't imagine having to go through that. It is so bad.
Merry Christmas!

Non-stop pouring rain. Plus wind. It used to snow around this time of year, but it doesn't do that either anymore. Just the lots and lots of rain :(
