Seahawks lost :(

But at least they went out fighting. It wasn't as easy as the Bears thought it would be was it ;)

Oh well...there's always next year.

I think it'll be a Patriots vs Saints Superbowl.

Once in awhile a conspiracy comes about that makes sense.

If the Saints beat the Bears and win the Super Bowl, that is proof to me that the NFL is fixed. Same thing if the Cubs win the World Series in 2008, 100 years since their last one.

Off the tangent, I would love a Colts vs. Bears bowl. It's time for the Bears to break their dry spell as has been pointed out.

Bear Down, Chicago Bears!

Wow a fellow Chicagoan! I am hoping for a Colts vs. Bears superbowl as well. Colts are my favorite AFC team and Bears, of course, are my favorite NFC team. I follow both closely. So, if they both get into the Super Bowl, I will be torn as to who to root for.

The only thing that's scaring me is Reggie Bush. I'm a huge Notre Dame fan and alum, so I have been whining about Reggie since he was with USC. I think it's a plot against me to have to keep dealing with him. As soon as the Saints drafted him I knew that team was going to turn around, have a decent season, and I'd have to wish he'd break a leg so he would stop freaking running!

God bless him, he's a great athlete, and yes, he obviously has the power to turn around a team. I just get scared whenever we have to play against him. Brian Urlacher I love and he's fantastic, but now that we're down two of our great linesmen (one of which, he-who-must-not-be-named-but-goes-by-Tank, I don't miss seeing as he seems to be a troublemaker for the team), I'm worried as to what Reggie will do, knowing full well what he's done to Notre Dame.

The Bears are not really that strong of a team, at least not consistently. I think their whooping at Green Bay (Go Pack!) proves that.

In no way do I think it would mean the NFL was fixed. Underdogs win things all the time (and already have in the playoffs this season).

I was hoping for a San Deigo vs. New Orleans Superbowl, but dang Chargers lost.

So, instead I will hope for Colts vs. New Orleans cause that's the bet I have with my dad. :P

Go Saints!

I have a nice prediction for tomorrow's NE/Indy matchup...

Pats: 27, Colts: 24. New England wins it on a Gostkowski field goal :)

As for the Super Bowl, I want a rematch of Super Bowl XX: Patriots vs. Bears :)

Oh, and Patriots win 27-20.

Lass, I honestly think that the Bears have a chance. Their defense is awesome. And the great thing about the team is that they don't have just one or two star players, but have many players who play well--so they can mix it up. And they are great in all areas so that if offense is having a rough time, defense or special teams can kick it up a notch. And man can they ever strip a ball to create turnovers. Phew! I have been a Bears fan for years and years, but a good friend turned me onto the Colts two years ago and I must admit, I do love their style, but I believe, in my gut, that the Bears will pull this one off.

Didn't Lass think the Bears would win? Anyways, both sides have a fair chance here. Which ever teams flinchs I think will party be because of their quarterback. Rex Grossman and Peyton Manning have good days and bad days. Now we have to wait and see, which one has a bad day on Super Bowl XLI.

Pokemon, I never said she didn't. I said what I did because the Bears are considered to be the underdogs and yet most people I talk to who are football fanatics (one who even played first string college ball for a big school) are saying that the Bears are going to win. As you will recall, months ago, I predicted both teams to make it into the Superbowl. Both teams are my favorites, so either way I win.

The game really isn't up to just the QBs. Because both QBs have had bad days and yet their team still won that particular game. Specials teams and defense will have a lot to do with the outcome of next week's game.
