Why couldn't she just stay blonde?

Mon Feb 12, 2007 5:18 pm

What does it really matter if she's blonde or brunette? Thousands of people change their hair color, just because she's famous does it really matter? Maybe she did it for a role or something.
I don't really care what she does with her hair. Shave it and wax her bald for all I care, she's just as human as the rest of us.

It just doesn't suit her in my opinion. She looked much better blonde.

It's her choice, not yours. If she wants to be Brunette, she can be brunette. I don't think it's right to judge people on looks.

They're judging the looks, not the person. People aren't going to hate her solely because she changed her hair. Well, some people will, but that's not what's going on here. And yes, it's her choice, but haven't you ever had a friend dye/cut/style their hair in some way, and disliked it?

I think that hair dye made her magically age ten years.

They're judging how she treats herself, what she does with herself, which means they are judging her as a person. I never said anything about people 'hating' her. And there's a difference between commenting to a friend about their hair then some person you don't even know. Bringing something up tactfully with a friend is different then judging a celebrity you don't even know. And the whole celebrity thing is sort of my point, what she does, is what she does, so long as it doesn't harm anyone, why do we care? Let her live her life as she sees fit.

Celebrities sacrifice much of their personal lives for fame. There are people who make a living criticizing celebrities' fashion choices. She made the choice to be famous and put her life on display.

I think it's more that the public seems to be fascinated with whatever celebrities do. She didn't make the choice to be hounded by people who question her every move. So she sings and acts in movies? Whats really so fascinating? So she's pretty? Why do people feel the need to be so interested in her life?

Tue Feb 13, 2007 5:05 am

because that's what the media tells us we should be interested in.
baaaaa.

Alright, I'm sorry, but this is where I just have to draw the line and say calm down. Seriously, once you sell a few albums, get a reality show, do loads of stuff and some movies and become famous and you become a public image you are subject to criticism. So what if some people like to judge? Like you said it's their life, and you did sound a bit hypocritical when you said you shouldn't judge people. You're doing the same thing. So before you go around people what to do, moral wise, do it yourself. Sorry if that sounded catty.
