not at all. Its basically a 100 percent accurate retelling of Frank Miller's graphic novel, 300.

Is the graphic novel a gayer version of 300 spartans?

I read somewhere that Frank Miller was influenced by 300 Spartans. Knowing nothing about 300 Spartans, I cannot comment on 300's comparative homosexuality.

Aha, I thought it must've been related somehow.

300 Spartans is from 1962 and (so) not particularly gay.

I saw it in an Imax.

Oh

It's about ancient Greece.
Yes, it's really quite gay. (And has some jokes on the subject, some subtle, others less so)

My Verdict?
This. Is. SPARTAAAAAAAAAA!

I just watched it on Friday.

I nearly died (in a good, postive heartthrobbing way) of all the decapitation, blood, and gore. Cinematography was excellent. The dramatic-ness was slow at first, but in the end you get caught up in the rush. The cut-back scenes to the Queen and such were perfect so that I didn't have to die of too much gore at once. The beginning part of the ending was like "why did they do that?" and the very, very end was good. I really liked how they showed the credits.

Man, I want to discuss so many parts that I loved, but I guess that would spoil it for people that didn't see it?

Well, I guess this won't spoil it for too many people:
*snickers* "We're fighting in the shade"

Then there's also...
Everytime the Spartans or a Spartan talked = *8-pack ripple* :D

I lolled at that scene as well :roflol:

The bedroom scene was quite explicit as well, I don't know if it was that needed (but who am I to complain :P).

AmmerEdit: Please keep it clean, this is a family friendly forum after all!

Dude they totally ripped my idea. I was tellling everyone that I was Sparticus for years. Now I can rightfully claim my throne as Sparta.
