It's really sad, I've only gotten one thing since the prizes came out and that's the Ghost PB. Mainly becasue I've had a pet begging for that brush and I got it to shut him up. But I'm not sure what to do now...should I get another PB and sell it later? Or forget it and get other fun things, like that fun door. teehee

I think they've stated that they'll be leaving the prize shop open. The LDP shop is still around too - I think they like to give people time to choose.
Can you imagine the complaints TNT would get if they closed it?
I haven't spent any points either btw. It's like we waited for ages to get prizes and now they're out I'm like "meh"

I took a while in deciding. I had a lot of points (40k+ - completed all the steps and did quite a few battles). So last night, I spent some time and figured out how many different things I could get and got one of each. I left out a couple of the plushies and all the battledome items, because I figure the books and furniture will be worth more in the future.
I doubt they'll be closing the prize shop anytime soon. I think the Maraquan War shop is still open, too.

I saw a Ghost Paint Brush on the Money Tree this morning.
I don't know if someone accidentally dumped it there or if that says something about their current worth, but it makes me less certain about how quickly they'll reinflate. I'm kind of glad I haven't bought any yet. Now that I've got my entire book collection set aside, I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the remaining 20k points.

with over 3000 lots with ghost paint brushes at the trading post I don't think they'll reinflate any time soon. Actually it surprises me that they've stayed stable at that prize even with such an amount being available.

does anybody have the link for LDP prizes I can't find it anywhere. I cant remember if I have points left to spend on that or not.
here you go: http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/gift_shop.phtml

This is how geeky I am... I put all the prize values in a spreadsheet and crunched numbers... if I get the suff I really like (Hissi oil keyachin, hissi bobblehead, rusty asylum door, SoS plushie) and some stuff I just sort-of-want (open grave, genealogy, etc), I will have 6415 points left.
Any ideas how to spend them? Should I get more books maybe (and sell later)...?
*if anyone wants a copy of the spreadsheet, I can put it up somewhere*

Well my geeky spreadsheet also does a ratio of current neopoint value to plot point cost, and shows that, as of this afternoon, the most efficient way to spend your plot points is on the Ominous Stone Plushie, which is selling for 27K, or 13.75 np per plot point. After that is the Talking Tombstone Alarm Clock and Open Grave.
I expect that in due time the one-use items will rise in value, namely the various books and the Ghost Paint Brush.
