Well, after I yelled for a while about "mah", I would explain to Ixist that while "roflcopter" is the more logical spelling from the acronym, many acronyms are translated into normal words when spoken, and the mystical helicopter, which came second, can thus be more accurately represented as the "rofflecopter".
