Personally, I've never made my own look up, so I like the way it's organized. I wish they'd kept the sidebar, though.
Definitely going to take a LOT of getting used to.

my first original set!

its a rip off of every other virtual pet site out there. Neopets has hit rock bottom. Its no longer the homey site it was. It had a feeling of NOT being commericalzied even with its ads adn stuff it still felt like a litlte home site. now its like any other big business site. Lets see them keep the younger kids now can you see the youngest of hte kdis actually navigating that site?

I like it well enough except for needing to scroll to the right to see the whole page. If they made that lefthand sidebar optional- like the favorites sidebar in IE- click an X and it appears or hides, then I think I'd be happy with it.

One word: Horrid.

What's peeved me the most is I dumped my main account after the HW Plot prizes were "awarded" *cough* such an insult, so I start using my second account which had pretty much been ignored until now. For the past month I've been working on getting the Solitaire trophy, I'm in the middle of a game then lo and behold - it's now UNPLAYABLE!

To say I'm upset is an understatement... *toddles off to sulk in a corner* :'(

Not to mention it totally drains my computer resources...

this is just WRONG.



I say we should get as many people playing this game today and tomorrow, or the entire week for that matter.. Let them know how we feel about it

I have mixed feelings.

On the one hand, I loved the old style. It was very... quirky. Neopetsesque, as someone else said. Different from everything else on the web. For all they say about this being "updated," I feel like the old layout was kind of sleeker-looking - more stream-lined and coherent. I think some of the elements they kept from the old (like the bar at the top of the shops screen, with the bank, guilds, safety deposit, etc., links on it) just look strange next to the new blocky main navigation bars. Of course, I have to wonder how much of my affection for the old style was just because it's what I was used to seeing for, oh, six or seven years.

The new style has less style to it, I think, but it does work better. I'm liking being able to go straight to the bank or to my favorite games without having to go through several different pages. I think it does need some work - I'd like to see the user lookups a little more streamlined than they are right now, for one thing. But this does have a lot of potential. I'd be really pleased if they allowed me to customize the things on my Neopets start page, like take off things I don't care about (random poll, for example) and add things I do care about (stockmarket link, maybe some favorite games), and I think that'd be a lot easier for them to do with this layout than with the old one.

As far as changing the pets, I don't have much of an opinion, because they didn't do a lot to mine (an ixi and an ogrin). They're a little flatter-looking than before, I think, but that's about it. Overall, I like the old looks better, but I'm sure I'll get used to them this way.

Agreed. Things I hate about it: No longer able to put backgrounds in coding, stupid useless modules on the left side (do I care to see my pet every page), and the need to scroll to see the entire page. I am sure I will be adding more to the list as I go on.

If anyone from TNT is lurking about now, I'd love it if you'd fix the page so we can see the whole thing without scrolling. Cause that is going to drive me quite insane. Not that I am not already, mind you.

Overall I don't mind it too much, I just wish all pets had the choice to be customised or not (at least 2 of mine can be kept how they used to be). I still can't stand my updated mutant draik though. And the new site will take some getting used to...

I like the change, but I've had to change the computer's resolution to 1024x768. I may get some flak for that later.

The thing I don't like it how I have to re-do my userlookup.

I like the customization thig too, except the top of my fire Shoyru is light gray, instead of dark gray.

The layout I'm pretty uncaring about. its the changing of my pets. I have an usul a grundo a meerca nad a poogle. All pets that have older designs that were completely changed for the customizable thing. And all pets taht have been around quite some time. My painted pets dont have the options promised in the customizing thing. So i dont even have that to try.

Though I have to say, I'm still liking it for the most part. The site doesn't look like Neopets anymore, granted... but I'm still rather happy with it (but not my pets. I didn't like customization darnit. At least Mino stayed the same)

Though I bet all those people with those awesome pet lookups and userlookups are LIVID.
